hey guys Stefan here from
projectlifemastery.com I've got a great
question someone submitted to me well
which was what advice do you have for
dabblers I bought your K money mastery
course but I haven't put into practice
thanks for your great content okay so I
have a lot to say about this a lot of
stuff I have a motivation and whatnot on
my youtube channel on my blog that you
can check out but what I'll leave you
with is that I think in every goal that
you're pursuing in your life you need
some form of accountability
okay accountability is critical now if
you think about it we've all been
dabblers you know when we're young when
we're kids were basically dabblers you
know when you're a kid your priorities
are just have fun play with their
friends
we're not productive or not business
oriented we're not in the mindset of
working or anything like that so we're
pretty much all dabblers what helps us
overcome that dough and I think one of
the biggest benefits of this is school
when you go to high school you're
basically taught how to work you're
taught how to study how to do homework
you know you have projects that are do
you have tests quizzes you have to
prepare for you have to study all that
sort of stuff and so high school is
really the first time in your life where
you have to you know really overcome
being a dabbler you can't be lazy and
you have to you know you have to do your
homework you had you have certain
deadlines you have certain exams that
you have to do now the way that school
works and I think why you know people
graduate from high school it's because
there's a form of accountability you
know you have to get this project done
it's due on this day or there's going to
be a quiz or exam on this day and you
have to be ready for it and if you don't
do it then you're gonna get a bad grade
and there's a consequence for not doing
it so school is a form of accountability
you have teachers you have other
students that you're accountable to and
there's a consequence for not doing it
which is basically you're gonna get a
bad grade if you fail the class you're
gonna have to retake the class you're
not gonna graduate high school there's
pain and there's consequences to not
doing it nobody wants to do their
homework nobody wants to study but we
have to and we do all do it because
there's consequences to that now you
need the exact
same form of accountability in your
business and really any other of your
life if you want to lose weight you know
have a form of accountability for that
how can you get accountability
you can hire a coach a mentor you could
you know found an accountability buddy
you know I've got a mastermind group I'm
a part of every week we do calls form of
accountability I've had accountability
buddies we call each other up on the
phone you get on skype and that's a
great thing about the internet is that
you can have friends and accountability
buddies anywhere in the world you don't
even have to live in the same city or
the same town as that person you can
have an accountability buddy you know in
a totally different country that's
that's the world that we live in now so
you want to take advantage of that you
can join a group you know we have for
example the full disclosure Facebook
group for members of K money mastery we
have hundreds of members in there that
are all committed they're all paying to
be a part of it and they're all in the
same position as you you know they all
want to succeed at Kindle publishing
making money online you know being
successful in your business so you have
a community of people that are all in
the same position and you can just
publicly share your goal you can you
know say hey guys I need some
accountability I'm looking for an
accountability buddy where we do daily
check-ins weekly check-ins with each
other we're gonna have a consequence if
we don't do it so I think that's another
really powerful way you know all the
studies that I've done all the tests
that we've done not just with Kindle but
anything out there people always get
better success when they're a part of
the community when you're just trying to
do things on your own you don't have
anyone to be accountable to you you're
just accountable to yourself so if you
save yourself I'm gonna get this done
today you can easily back out of that
and there's no consequence but if you
commit to a friend or someone else that
you know and you say I'm gonna get this
done all the sudden there's more on the
line there's more at stake because you
don't want to let that person down so
accountability to other people is more
important and more powerful than being
accountable to yourself another way to
you know I look at what I've done with
project like mastery I started project
life mastery as a way of being
accountable back in 2012 I was doing the
fitness competition and I started
project life mastery because I wanted to
to be accountable to
goals I figured if I publicly share my
goals I posted on my Facebook I posted
on my blog I have to follow through now
that's why I post the monthly goals
reports because I get more benefit out
of that then probably you do it forces
me to step up it forces me to complete
the goals that I commit to you and the
consequence is if I don't achieve the
goals that I set forth then I'm gonna
look like an idiot in front of everyone
I'm gonna lose all my credibility all my
respect my reputation and I'm not
willing to be in that position so it
motivates me to follow through with my
fitness competition in 2012 I was
posting bi-weekly update progress
reports on my body my weight and I
committed to everyone I had to be up on
stage for a fitness show so there's no
turning back I couldn't back out of it I
already invested I think it was like
$100 or $200 I hired a coach you know a
nutrition coach to help me along that
journey as well
and sure enough I achieved the goal so
you need accountability okay that's
that's the main thing I'll leave you
with there's a lot more that I could say
I'm being a dabbler and everything but I
think accountability is something that
we you all need more of in our lives
that will allow us just to take things
to a new level and raise our standards
so hopefully this my answer has helped
