How Do You Find Profitable Topics To Publish Kindle Books On?

hey guys Stefan here from
projectlifemastery.com I've got another
Kindle Q&A video for you and this is a
question I received from someone asking
how do you find profitable topics to
write on that will actually sell I've
written in niches where several books
are in the top 30,000 in the Kindle
Store and still don't sell a single copy
ok great question now I have a
step-by-step process for this that I
teach inside K money mastery so I
recommend go through that training to
really understand in depth what I do for
that but the first thing I'll say is
that there's really I heard this a while
ago there's really two ways to get rich
one is trying to invent something brand
new write something that no one else has
ever heard of before kind of trying to
like invent and Industry and there's
people out there that get really wealthy
and make a lot of money doing it that
way but believe it or not it's very very
few people that's a very very
challenging hard way to become
successful and get rich the easier way
to get rich which is the second way is
to build a better mousetrap okay so
basically it's finding what's already
working out there what's already selling
on Amazon or Kindle or for any business
and just build a better mousetrap and so
what I've found with Kindle publishing
and the way the best way to find
profitable niches and markets is to look
to see what's already selling where is
the market where is the demand what are
the problems that people are having in
that market and provide a solution
because really I believe that's all we
really do in business anyways a business
you know an entrepreneur or someone that
solves people's problems at a profit
it's identifying the needs the demands
and the problems and then providing a
great solution so how can you do this
well one of my favorite ways is to see
what's already selling on amazon.com in
the Kindle Store you can easily do that
just by looking at the Kindle bestseller
lists there's different bestseller lists
for all different types of categories
and you can look at these different
categories so for example weight loss
and fitness and health and
self-development
fiction romance mystery thriller
whatever it is and you can see what's
already selling and that can help you
identify the markets you can see the
consistency of what people are buying
and that can help you
identify the markets the keywords the
niches and whatnot but you want to dive
a little bit deeper okay so if you
identify certain key words and words and
phrases that people are searching for on
Amazon what you'd want to do is you want
to type in that keyword and you want to
look at the books that show up and the
key is is to make sure they're selling
okay you can type in a keyword and see
there's a lot of books that are
available in that market but that
doesn't mean that those books are
selling okay just because there's a
bunch of products or whatever they're in
that category doesn't mean that's
profitable so you have to do your due
diligence and their research before you
get into that market you know one of my
favorite quotes from the book the art of
war by Sun Tzu which is that the battle
is won before you step onto the field
so basically strategy and preparation is
vital in your success not just with
Kindle but any business out there so
doing that research and taking the time
to prepare and strategize is very
important so you want to look at the
books and specifically you want to look
at the Amazon bestseller ranking every
product on Amazon every book on Amazon
has what is called an Amazon bestseller
ranking which will basically tell you
how well that Kindle book or that
product is doing on Amazon so you know I
typically like to find products and
books that are selling better than a
hundred thousand ranking that around the
$2.99 price range because if I can find
a lot of books that are selling in that
market and a hundred thousand or better
that gives me the confidence and the
certainty that there's a market here
there's a demand here competition is a
great thing whenever I find a market
there's no competition I get worried and
never ever publish in those markets
because there's no it's too too risky I
don't know how if they're you know
people have been buying in that market
if there's even a market or demand for
it so if I'm able to see that there's
competition and I can look to see how
well they're doing and they have a great
Amazon best seller ranking I can already
determine how much money that they're
making selling their Kindle book and a
key is there's more than one book
there's more than two or three books
that are selling because that also shows
you how big the market is as well you
know if there's only one or two books
that are selling then you know it shows
you the market
a bit small and there's not that many
books that can be published to really
dominate make a lot of money in that
market but I know some weight loss some
diet markets where there's like twenty
or thirty books that show up and they're
all selling really well I love that
because it demonstrates to me that wow
there's money to be made here all I got
to do is just come up with a better
mousetrap
you know publish a great quality book
that can fit in with this market that's
just better than what's already out
there and market it better than everyone
else and you know sure enough I can get
a piece of the pie and I don't even
necessarily have to rank my book number
one or number two because you know in
some markets are so big that I could be
number ten and still be profitable and
make some great money from that book as
well and so just doing the research in
that regard and again identifying that
there's more than one more than two more
than three books the size of the market
I think that's a very very critical the
other pieces well though is you have to
do the research to see uh you know if
you know what what the problem is again
in that market you know what are the
frustrations the challenges what is the
solution that your books going to solve
okay what's that problem or what's the
problem that your book is going to solve
that's a very important piece as well
because you can publish a book in the
market but it doesn't resonate or meet
the needs of the demand or solve the
problem that people have in the market
and no one's going to buy it and I'll
give you a great example my
full-disclosure members area of K money
mastery I do these live book reviews
where I review other members books some
of them that are selling some of them
that aren't and I'm just basically
giving feedback on what could be done
better
what mistakes to avoid and you know the
person published a book on natural
remedies and I think the title of the
book was something like natural remedies
to basically help overcome anxiety
depression or things of that nature and
when I was reviewing the book I asked
you know how do you know that people are
searching for natural remedies books
that that's the problem that they want
to solve that it's anxiety depression
things of that nature how do you know
that that's why they're buying the books
you know maybe that book doesn't really
people aren't buying it because you know
they don't care about natural remedies
for anxiety maybe if they want to cure
anxiety they're going to find
book or a stress relief book or an
anxiety relief book you know maybe
they're going to look in other markets
most likely someone has searching for
natural remedies how do you know they're
not searching for a book that will help
them just cure and get rid of different
ailments of they might have or different
diseases or common colds or common you
know symptoms that might be experiencing
how do you know so you don't want to
guess this you want to do the research
beforehand because how you position your
book and how you target it and the
benefits that your book has and what
your books about is going to be very
important for each specific market has
to resonate with a demographic and the
consumer so one way you can do this you
know type in the keyword you know type
in the market do a search look at the
books that are selling and look at the
consistent theme of what they're doing
to have their books sell you know if
it's natural remedies you want to
identify what you know what is the
problem that this book is solving and
another great way of doing that is look
at the reviews look at the competitors
Amazon reviews look what the customers
are saying look to read the good reviews
and the bad reviews because that will
tell you everything right there it will
tell you whether or not there's a market
you know what their challenges are what
they want more of and that will give you
a great opportunity to be able to target
that book to reach as many people as
possible in that market you know so
really I want to get you in that
headspace of you know because you can
rank a book and get all the reviews and
have a great cover all that stuff but if
it doesn't meet the demand of the market
again if it doesn't solve their problem
and if they don't want it then obviously
they're not going to buy it so marketing
is key position positioning is key as
well and of course finding making sure
the niche is profitable and there's
demand there's a market there for it
also so again if you want more
additional training on this get inside
key money mastery 2.0 at key money
mastery calm I've got great training on
that if you want more advanced you want
to check out the live book reviews that
I do as well then you know check out the
full disclosure group the advanced
lessons we have there because that will
help cover a lot of that for you too
because again I think this is one of the
most important processes in Kindle
publishing or any business you're going
to make sure that you you
you mitigate your risk by doing all the
proper research and due diligence
beforehand to make sure that you're
entering into a profitable nation market
that's how are you going to have the
best chance of success so thank you for
