I really wanted to help people I was so
so passionate about health and fitness
and very passionate about all the
misinformation in the health and fitness
space like I hated all those like seven
day detox like T's and really passionate
about X I was a scientist right and the
scientists are always super passionate
about that how did you
I guess learn what you've learned
Facebook Ads penny these funnels did you
go through trainings and invest in
yourself or just kind of learn anyway so
I decided I was gonna learn marketing
and now I'm like known as a well stock
market's all right so I went you know
all-in on that but then the key point
was every day I was applying it to my
own stuff right and that's what made me
successful and I think that's also why
we get better results in the agency
versus a lot is I'm unique that I built
a multi-million dollar business myself
before teaching others but I'm also
still applying it to my own businesses
every single day I really say business
is very simple you need a good product
that converts and a good offer and then
you need people to see it if you have
those two things in place you can build
a million-dollar business pretty easy
right most people don't have any of
those in place they have like a subpar
offer or no coffee no funnels and maybe
they get this pot right but then they
don't have enough traffic like you can
have the best coffee and offer in the
world but if no one sees it if you know
we're gonna make money right so there's
an advantage there for me but yeah I I
mean I even teach now how to grow
Instagram because Instagram it's like
organic platform where you can make
money without ads right and probably in
a year or two that'll be gone so you've
got to make the most of it because just
like Facebook everyone's kicking
themselves now because it's pay to play
in a year or two Instagram will be like
that

hey everyone this is Stefan James from
Project life master comm and I'm sitting
down right now with Rudy Moore who is a
very successful online entrepreneur he
went from being a personal trainer to a
multi-millionaire in two years at 26
years old he's a master at Facebook Ads
social media marketing and we're gonna
be dive into all of that as well as the
mindset of becoming a successful online
entrepreneur so Rudy thanks for taking
time Alicia yeah I'm glad to be here and
share some knowledge and stuff yeah so
do you mind sharing with people your
story how you became a successful online
entrepreneur yeah so condensed it into
like a two minutes to be alright because
we get asked this a lot so the start is
a personal trainer and and I think like
maybe a lot of people watching this I
had a big passion for my industry and
what I taught I wanted to help more
people and obviously my entrepreneurial
brain wanted to make more money and
create a life of freedom so I kind of
spent a long time becoming very good at
my craft which I think it's important
offering a good service right and not
jumping steps and trying to become a
marketer right away so I got a degree a
master's degree in exercise science work
with celebrities gold medalist elite
athletes so I got really high up in my
industry wrote for magazines but I still
wasn't having the impact or making the
money I wanted on a brick big scale so I
was like what's missing here I can't be
unless I get a PhD like that's literally
the only thing I could do more
educationally but I was like there's
lots of people doing millions of dollars
in our space that are just fitness
models right no knowledge not even
teaching the right stuff and I was like
well they're better at marketing or they
have marketing teams so that's what I
need to do so I played with Facebook ads
like five years before when I ran like
nightclub events and like side gigs so I
already knew about them so but then yeah
I just instead of you know I was very
obsessive with my learning so I was
doing podcasts every day personal
development but it was mainly around the
fitness stuff so I just really like made
that switch and like every day was now
podcasts on marketing Facebook Ads
funnels copywriting I went to events
that were all based on that and I took a
lot of courses based around the
marketing side of things
and that was really a big part of my
growth and then yeah just like you know
I was chipping away at working 18 hours
a day and I was in like that growth mode
so I was single finished grad school so
I literally just literally work for 18
hours a day for two years and yeah I
scaled to millions of dollars with
Facebook Ads
selling fitness products fitness coach
in some supplements and now like that
business is kind of pause and my focus
is my marks an agency where we now help
other people like me and we do it for
them and fast-track them it's amazing so
you essentially started off as an
influencer I guess you had a passion for
fitness you loved it you're amazing at
it so about employment right yeah and I
think that's so many people can relate
to that because they're in that position
where they're trading your time for
money but there's only so many clients
that you can see in a day right only so
much you can charge for that and so did
you I guess kind of discovered the model
you see what other people are doing the
information product routing yeah content
marketing yeah I mean it made a lot of
sense to me because I I really wanted to
help people I was so so passionate about
health and fitness I'm very passionate
about all the misinformation in the
health and fitness space like I hated
all those like seven day detox like teas
and really passionate about that I was a
scientist right and the scientists are

had to just figure out how I could help
millions of people with good information
so obviously ebooks and info products
were no-brainer right because they cost
me nothing I wrote them once I had it
forever and I could sell them very
cheaply and that's what I did my my
flagship offer was a $19 product and
that was like half the price of a lot of
of a high high tier offers in my
industry a lot of a million-dollar
offers but I was I always consistent and
like I would always say no I want to
keep it here because I wanted to help as
many people as I could you know and I
just didn't want price to be a barrier
yeah and then in terms of how did you I
guess learned what you've learned
Facebook Ads tiny these funnels did you

that but the biggest thing is you know
famous saying that you know all the
knowledge in the world
if you don't apply it's pointless right
so the reason I was successful was you
know I'm very zero to a hundred and
whatever I do so I decided I was gonna
learn marketing and now I'm like known
as a well top marketer right so I went
you know all-in on that but then the key
point was every day I was applying it to
my own stuff right and that's what made
me successful and I mean that's also why
we get better results as an agency
versus a lot is I'm unique that I built
a multi-million dollar business myself
before teaching others but I'm also
still applying it to my own businesses
every single day so you know like a
practical example is weird having a ton
of success with Instagram swipe up
videos and ads and many chat or
messenger bots right we're playing it's
my business
and I spoke at it yesterday at a really
high level mastermind with seven eight
figure business owners and I could just
show them the real-life examples and the
real-life stats of this was the lead
magnet we had with just traffic from
Facebook with a static image we have
paying X amount a lead and we got it
half now with this strategy right and
it's just real life real time it's
awesome now I know mindset is something
to speak about and we both agree is such
an important component of success right
there's tons of information out there
whether it's courses trainings YouTube
podcasts but you got to apply it right
as you said so what are some of the
mindsets that helped you to become
successful today totally yeah I mean -
that's the biggest thing almost like we
could both go bankrupt tomorrow like be
like put in jail and get released with
nothing no friends no but if we had the
mindset that we were still gonna be
overachievers and hit our goals we go do
it
right and you know in the
entrepreneurial journey or life in
general you get hit around and you get
knocked down and you go for adversity
and there's no avoiding that but the
people that stay successful are the
people that have the mindset that
they'll keep going right no matter what
and I think I was very lucky I didn't
really appreciate this when I was like
growing up or even reach until recently
but my parent my mom was a gold medalist
in sport and triathlon and my dad was
the great brand team manager of
triathlon so I spent my whole life at
the Olympic Games and elite races with
all the Olympic athletes so I guess I
was surrounded by success so to me like
achieving whatever you wanted in life
was like ingrained to me throughout my
life right and I saw my mom win a gold
medal at like 50 years old such as
people retiring and she was winning
races and that's because she dedicated
herself trained every day and was
committed so I was very forth like my
parents aren't financial or business at
all I create everything I did knowing an
outside investment of support but they
did give me that mindset right which is
you know it's mostly maybe the belief
system yeah the belief song exactly
saw that they had so much belief and you
believe for yourself anything's possible
and I'm just very like what's the worst
that can happen right it's right why I'm
gonna go bankrupt and go back and be a
personal trainer
there's no different where I was eight
years ago or whatever right so just yeah
and I'm not scared of failure and I
think that's also important you know you
learn your biggest mistakes and you
develop the most as a person when you
fail that's awesome so I know a lot of
people watching they're maybe at the
beginning stage of having an online
business or some of them they might be
selling on Amazon or information
products affiliate marketing or whatever
it might be and one of the things that a
lot of people struggle with its getting
traffic to really ramp it up to get
sales what do you think are some of the
best ways I know you focus on the
Facebook ads but you might Sharon what
you think are the best strategies that
people could do yeah so I mean like I
really say business is very simple you
need a good product that converts and a
good offer and then you need people to
see it if you have those two things in
place you can build a million dollar
business pretty easy right
most people don't have any of those in
place they have like a subpar offer or

this part right but then they don't have
enough traffic like you can have the

if no one sees it you know we're gonna
make money right so yeah I would say I
mean obviously in my eyes Facebook Ads
is the best way
just because having it has some unique
delivery capabilities in terms of how
many people it can reach how you can
target people it's very low cost and
easy to enter so for a lot of the guys
watching this if you're just starting
out then the cool thing about Facebook
is you can go on there for $10 a day
you can take a training course mine off
someone else's or watch some videos for
free on YouTube probably and you can get
started tomorrow for ten dollars a day
and you're not gonna be like a
millionaire but you're gonna see success
right whereas old-fashioned media you'd
have to go and like pay a thousand
dollars to be in a magazine wait two
months for it to be published and then
kind of hope you made sales whereas
nowadays we can track everything and we
can start tomorrow we can target people
in your city or people that follow the
page the that will buy from you yeah
yeah so do you recommend when people are
first starting out they have a certain
budget in mind and then also wonder when
you're first starting out like are you
more trying to go broad and try to see
what's working and maybe at first being
okay with maybe losing a little bit of
money today yeah you don't lose some
money yeah so what I explain people get
very like they don't have the right
mindset with Facebook so you're not
losing money you're buying data and
that's very different right and once you
understand that it changes your mindset
so if you spend month long and say you
make a thousand but you spent two
thousand that's fine you paid a thousand
dollars for data and now you know what
images were what headlines work and if
you go speak to a copywriter for you to
test all that for a thousand dollars
this cheap right right to be able to see
what headlines were what landing pages
were what video ads were what audiences
work you're just buying that data which
allows you to scale so yeah you can set
a budget like I say you can easily start
for fifty dollars a day that's 1500 a
month you're gonna get enough budget to
test and play around and get used to it
but you're you should get some ROI too
right so it's not like you're gonna lose
fifteen hundred dollars I unless you're
not very good at it or you don't have a
good offer so yeah I mean that's a good
place to start and I know one thing we
talked about is just how important the
funnel is right that a lot of people you
can turn on ads you can spend as much
money as you want but if it's not
converting and you don't have the funnel
in place then you're not going to get
the best return so you might talking a
little bit about that yeah some business
you need a funnel which is like little
the sales page maybe the car page the
upsells and then when you have that you
need traffic and it's so so simple
granted like a high level that's all you
need but you're gonna be the best at
Facebook traffic in the world so I can
run as
I can run all your office for you but if
you don't have this side like dialed in
it's pointless it's gonna be useless so
the funnel is like the sales page and
the upsells and you need good coffee and
you need good structure because if not
the traffic will be useless right so yes
you need to go and learn Facebook Ads
but at the same time you need to make
sure the funnel side and the copy is
dialed in yeah and so would you would
you typically recommend someone if
you're running ads to try to send people
to a landing page and get their email
and and try to have a good follow-up
series to then funnel into the ball it
just depends on both so it just is so
very dependent on the industry so we do
both so we'll do a lot of ads sending
people to a free lead magnet and I mean
I'm sure you guys watching this or a
million of those where you get Sen
there's a headline sub-headline bullet
points and then they talk about you know
like a free guide a free report a free
trial so sending people there's great
and we do that for myself and many of my
clients and we get five hundred to a
thousand emails a day sometimes more so
and if you understand email markets in a
thousand emails a day is a lot and you
can make a lot of money from that
because basically what you having to do
there is you build you build that list
so you can engage and warm the customer
up right and you you know the other
thing you do is send people straight to
a sales page but that can be harder if
someone doesn't know you so I get away
with it for my own fitness brand but I
think the reason I do is I have a killer
off a killer coffee I tested it a
hundred times to get it convert in but I
also have so much social proof and
that's very important if you're going
straight to landing page so I train
celebrities I trained elite athletes I
have a master's degree and I was
featured in men's health and all the
biggest magazines so with that you can
kind of get away with it if I try to do
what I was doing when I was 21 with none
of that credibility then it wouldn't
work right so most of the time you need
to warm up the traffic and the easiest
way for you guys to imagine this I
summarize it in one kind of sentence is
if you're walking down the street and
someone jumps out and like hey buy my
product you're not going to do it you
know
who they are you know what they're
selling you know if it's a fake or not
but if you say you go to the gym and
this guy this guy that always trains at
the same time as you start spotting you
he's helping you then you get a workout
in together he's giving you tips he
gives you like a diet plan to try and
then a month later he's like hey do you
want to buy actually I have this full
product I have coaching you're way more
likely to go and buy off him then if
like he walked into the gym on day one
and just came up to you and said hey you
you need to buy my plan right it's just
different and wouldn't you understand
that marketing actually becomes very
simple got it I know segments my
audience their affiliate marketers and
their with affiliate marketing it's a
little bit more challenging because it's
hard to do the tracking with it because
you don't have control of the thank-you
page of the prod is there any strategies
that people can do around affiliate
marketing and Facebook Ads yeah so I
mean the biggest thing for affiliate
marketing is if you're if you're trying
to build your own list then it can be
still very powerful like I work with
some affiliate marketers and the cool
thing about being affiliate marketers
you're very good at what a lot of
marketers on which is monetizing your
back end and your email list right so I
have clients that don't have a clue
about that and they're still making
money so if you can actually learn the
other side you can become very
profitable and then in terms of actually
affiliate marketing the biggest thing is
having like I am friends with a lot of
affiliate marketers a crazy good and the
tunings that stand out is they're
extremely good at coffee right because
they're right in the emails to slight
the swipes and then they're also just
very analytical and they're very good at
just like affiliate marketing is more
than sending an email like the guys I
know so I was in the talk yesterday with
lots of affiliate marketers doing tens
of millions of dollars and they're like
they're like hackers they have
spreadsheets with what email did Wow how
many it was cost you know earnings per
click the conversion rate like when they
send it the amount of opens and then
they just track everything they're very
unethical they're very very strategic
with how they're doing it so I think
that's the biggest thing are they they
manually I guess tracking in terms of
the because the affiliate link you know
it's hard to maybe track exactly what
kind of return are getting from your ad
spent yeah so how are they may be
tracking that I I don't know how they
set it up with
they're clients I mean we internally use
wicked reports with all of our clients
and I know we've shared that with
affiliates in the past so we can get
accurate data for them but I think most
of them are just tracking from what I
know of affiliates that they're all
about the front end right they're just
they track what they make on day one and
then that's it because they lose it
after that pretty much right yep so
let's talk about Instagram because
you've got an amazing Instagram I've
been following this guy well linked to
his Instagram for you guys using content
you've grown as skilled they're
massively and I'm trying to grow and
build mind so I know instagrams a great
opportunity right now you might talk
yeah though so I mean one one advantage
I have is I'm running ads right and my
Instagram grows faster than ever now
because I have a product that converts
and that can run traffic to grow it
right and I grew my Facebook page to 880
Cinelli a million but about 900 K in two
years and I didn't do any traffic to
grow the page I grew the page to nearly
a million in two years because I was
spending 20 grand a day on Facebook as
to my product right so people naturally
would buy just yeah I will get 5,000
likes some days just from my ads because
people are engaging by my program see my
videos and following me now with
Instagram I obviously get a lot of that
too I'm running a lot of ads on
Instagram now so like you know like I'll
look and in two hours I had 200
followers just from people looking at my
ads and saying who's this guy and
following me so there's an advantage
there for me but yeah I I mean I even
teach now how to grow Instagram because
Instagram it's like Facebook watch years
ago it's still an organic platform where
you can make money without ads right and
probably in a year or two that'll be
gone so you've got to make the most of
it because just like Facebook everyone's
kicking themselves now because it's pay
to play in a year or two Instagram will
be like that
so I mean the biggest thing in terms of
growing it organically there's lots of
methods and tricks and that's like a
whole topic on itself which you can go
and research but the biggest thing just
in summary IMing is consistency like
anything in life like a lot of my
friends that are growing it organically
they have like reminders on their alarms
on their phone they post at 7 a.m. 12
p.m. and 4
and they have a literally how it like my
big Fitness friends that have half a
million followers like I'll be out to
lunch or like what's that alarm is that
I've got to do an Instagram post but
that's what it takes you know and but
for them that's their whole business
they make you know half a million a year
which is great for them and they do it
all through their Instagram they don't
have funnels and a big business right so
consistency's one the next thing is I
teach a lot is just it sounds so simple
but it's like just having the right
content right because people you need to
have a strategy around it you can't just
like post random I owe one day it's my
dog the next day it's my family the next
day it's what I have for dinner and then
the fourth day is a marketing like I
post about my product right you gotta
like like if you look at mine it's very
strategic I teach funnels I teach online
marketing mindset and business to go
look at my Instagram
that's all I talk about right and then
as part of that I talk a lot you know I
do a lot of travel and personal stuff
because a lot of people follow me from
my lifestyle too they want the lifestyle
I created so but everything is very
strategic in what what I'm doing right
yeah are you using hashtags are you
doing like a lot of asset yeah so I mean
a big thing too is getting visibility so
like one last week I got one page
featured on the the main explore page
and I got 1,700 followers in 24 hours
from that one post and that doesn't
happen all the time but yeah by using
hashtags we tend to say about 7 to 8
hashtags and also the algorithm with
Instagram now is if you use the same one
they actually stop it being shown
because they see that you're copying it
so every time you want to change it a
little some people are saying it's
better to put it actually in the post
where of them in the comments because
Instagram also pick up on that that it's
like more like copy and paste so yeah
hashtags help but the biggest thing like
if you really want to grow it is you've
even got to do paid shout outs paid ads
and have all that Markson in place so if
you want to get it to half a million you
got to do one of those two things yeah
yeah or you've got to be in a very
attractive girl that's the only solution
and of course you got to make sure your
page is quality right quality photos
videos so if you if you're gonna go and
buy a product in the high street and the
shop is like one
on down the signs hanging off it's dirty
you're never gonna go in your Instagram
is the same in online businesses and
sales pages and websites are the same
not sure that's your shop if your
Instagram is like blurry photos and your
heads cut off that drives me crazy
because I have OHS you know ADHD and I'm
OCD about all that but yeah it's gotta
look good
and I just think also reiterating the
mindset it's it's the long-term play
because just like with anything at the
beginning it's gonna be slow I know for
me if my youtube channel at first is
like had no followers there's putting
out videos and you're like what's the
point of this but you have to keep up
the consistent when people will come to
you after two months I like dude I
posted I'm I don't have a load of
followers yet I'm like my Instagram like
of ously I fast tracked it because of
all my skills in marketing and my brand
and traffic but like what people forget
with my whole business is I had my first
website and Facebook page when I was 18
and I still have screenshots actually on
my sales page I had a thousand likes for
that whole page and I got to like
suppose if I'd quit there and I would be
working in a gym still right now you
know like it took me years to get to
where I am and everyone will get there
if they're consistent but most people
just they're lazy or they want fast
results or they don't believe in
themselves and they quit too earlier
yeah so what kind of advice would you
give maybe they I mean you kind of
shared but someone that's just getting
started or maybe that your younger self
what advice would you give this someone
like that that wants to build their
online business grow and scale yeah so
there's a few things I've already said
like believe in yourself stay consistent
play the long game don't you know it's
very easy to get like overwhelm IO he's
21 he's already got that there the
unicorns for every one person like them
there's 5,000 people with no followers
like you struggling so don't forget that
it's very easy to get overwhelmed with
Instagram like it can be bad for a lot
of people right like younger people they
get hard on themselves because they see
these influences but they're that
they're bit like the elite athlete
they're one in a million right so stay
consistent I guess the other big thing
is live marketing like if I learn
marketing earlier on in my life like
marketing and sales or two skills that
are going to be with you forever like it
I wish I had got a sales job when I was
18 and I guess as a person
train I kinda did right but not lay if
I'd learnt hardcore sales and marketing
at 18 I'd be way more successful now
so go invest in those two skill sets and
then I guess the other big thing is like
getting a mentor a coach right like I'm
not very coachable like I like to go
figure stuff out I'm very like
solopreneur but I do know that you know
if I've made a lot of expensive mistakes
I've like been ripped off just because
like you know we all go through it I'm
sure you've lost money with clients or
business partners that rip you off but
if you work with someone 20 years older
that's been in business 20 years they
probably could have picked up on that
and said don't do that deal or get that
contract signed or watch out or pull the
trigger here and they would also be able
to point you in the right place so I
don't do much of it at all because I'm
too busy with my agency but I have a lot
of friends that do coaching and
mentoring and I watch what they do and
for these you know younger like whether
they're twenty year old kids or whether
they're four ear old people just trying
to get into business it's very powerful
to have someone with all that experience
to point them in the right direction so
coaching and mentoring is a big one to
agree awesome cool so how can people

like my Instagram has a lot of my stuff
and then my Facebook page really more
and then just my websites and my marks
and agency's ROI machines so just return

Facebook and the site you can like

there's entry level courses and then
obviously high level stuff if you
already do in six or seven figures and
