How To Design Your Perfect Day



hey everyone this is Stefan James from
Project life mastery to day I'm going to
share with you one of my favorite
exercises for really discovering what
you want out of your life how do you
discover what your vision is how do you
discover what your compelling future is
for your life see I believe that all of
us need to have a compelling future
something we're so excited for a vision
for our life that makes us want to wake
up early and stay up light something
that makes today count that we're
willing to invest in ourselves to grow
to improve to put in the time to put in
the work to set goals for our life today
that can help move us in that direction
of where we want to go to turn that
dream that vision you have into a
reality to manifest that and it says in
the Bible that without a vision people
perish without a compelling future
people just sit around people are lazy
they have no motivation for their life
they have no goals they procrastinate in
fact I know so many people that reach
out and they say I'm lazy I'm not
excited for my life I'm not motivated
and most often that's because you don't
have a vision that excites you you don't
have something in your future that
you're focused on that you want so bad
that you're willing to invest today and
do whatever it takes to get there your
goals are just the stepping stones the
milestones that that can help you turn
that vision you have 5 10 20 years from
now into a reality but you got to know
what that is so I want to share with you
one of my favorite exercises for this
it's called the perfect day exercise
something I've done over many years of
my life and it's one of my most favorite
things to do you'd be amazed how much
motivation and drive that it gives you
when you do this but the purpose of this
is to use your imagination your
imagination has so much power in your
life you're not using it enough you know
their imagination is just a preview of
your life's coming attractions
Einstein said that your imagination is
even more powerful than knowledge
because knowledge is what is imagination
is what could be and the more that you
see and you imagine what that perfect
day is for your life the more excited
you're gonna be now the perfect day is
really just one day any day that you
want for your life 5 10 20 years from
now of what your life would be like that
if you could have one day
anyway you want it to be there's no
limits to it whatsoever the only limits
we have the limits of our mind or
imagination right but if there's no
limits what would that perfect day be
for you and really what we want to do to
get as specific as possible to use
clarity to be as detailed as we can from
the morning the moment you wake up in
the morning to the moment you go to bed
all the details and everything that you
do where you live your environment what
you'd experience the emotions who you
share it with all of those details from
morning to tonight as detailed as
possible okay clarity has so much power
you want to be specific we don't want to
be vague or general in this process so
if I may I'd like to share with you what
my perfect day is I'll share it to you
the process of this as well so that you
can do this for yourself in your life
and hopefully you take the time to
actually apply this so for me I'll show
you what my perfect day is first
question I'd asked myself is what time
would you wake up in the morning so I'll
share with you actually as I go through
and guide you through this process what
time would you wake up if you could wake
up at any time what time would that be
for you for me that'd be at 6 o'clock in
the morning so I'd wake up at 6 a.m.
where would you live in the world if you
can live anywhere that you want where
would that be for me it's in California
I've always wanted to live in California
I grew up in Vancouver Canada and
beautiful city but it rains a lot it can
be a little bit cold but California I've
just always had a dream and vision to
know that that's where I want it to be
you know the weather the lifestyle the
people the palm trees the opportunities
that were there the you know incredible
ocean and all that sort of stuff that
always really motivated and excited me
and part of that tea I've traveled a lot
in the world and experienced different
places but I remember when I did this
process for the first time I would look
through magazines travel magazines house
magazines and try to you know find
places that one day I'd want to live
where would that be for you would it be
where you're living right now in your
city or town that you live in the
country that you might live in or would
it be anywhere else
because again there's no limits wherever
you want to live or pursue you can do
that it just always starts up here so
for me it's in California I'd live in
this beautiful home this beautiful
mansion
right on the ocean right on the beach
and I'd have these huge windows in the
bedroom that just all this light comes
in the Sun wakes me up in the morning
and being woken up by the Sun at six
o'clock and just feeling so grateful for
my life you know that would be the first
emotion that I experienced for the day
is just feeling a sense of gratitude
like oh my god another day of my life
and you know even what's more amazing is
I'd wake up and wake up to the love of
my life Tatiana you know at that point
would be my wife right now she's my
fiancee but I wake up next door and this
feels so much joy and gratitude for
having the opportunity and the privilege
to share my life with someone that I
love so much my soulmate so who would
you wake up next to what kind of house
would you live in but they were a man or
woman you'd wake up next to what would
that be for you so for me it's waking it
up next to Tatiana I just feeling
flooded with gratitude and joy what
emotion would fill you up in the morning
you know we don't want to live that life
of stress and anxiety in the morning why
live that way when you can change it you
can have it any way you want so for me
I'd have this big smile on my face woken
up beautiful Sun I loved the Sun I'm
always trying to spend as much time as I
can't in the Sun and travel but to
follow the Sun so I'd wake up feeling
grateful for another day of my life
grateful for the Sun I'd have my dogs
that would come into the room and
they're excited and passionate as well
and their jump up on the bed and you
know ready to start the day and of
course I love animals and my dogs as
well so for me that's something part of
my vision and so I wake up and I start
my morning ritual you know of course go
to the bathroom do my business and brush
my teeth and take a shower and get ready
in that way but all while doing that I
just feel a sense of gratitude and joy I
probably have some music on in the
background some motivational music or
spiritual music or something that would
calm myself and just uplift myself to to
just feeling really great about the day
and then I go into the kitchen I drink
my kangen water my alkaline water that's
been you know it's gone to an
antioxidant process and high-quality
water to hydrate my body that's part of
my ritual and one thing I do is I'd
actually go outside and have
I'd live right on the beach and I take
my dogs and they go for a walk and
that's part of my morning Richard go for
a walk right on the beach along the
ocean and I just flood myself with
everything that I'm grateful for I think
about all the incredible people in my
life that I'm grateful for I think about
all the incredible resources and
knowledge and mentors and all the things
that I've been able to benefit that made
me who I am and allowed me to enjoy the
life that I would then live I would
think about my health and my body and
really feel grateful and appreciative
for that I think about what I'm happy
about what I'm excited for in my life my
next vision of where I want to go and
what I'm trying to pursue in my life and
really who I love and who loves me and
what I'm proud of in my life and I just
flood myself with all that positive
emotion as I'm walking along the beach
and taking on this incredible view and
the sun is shining and I'm there with my
dogs and then I go for a run you know
I'd like to do some exercise in the
morning and do some cardio so I go for a
run along the beach and I always just
imagined there would be this area on the
beach like a rock or something that
would just be a very peaceful spot and
I'd take a moment after a run for 20 or
30 minutes and I just sit there and
meditate and meditate for 20 or 30
minutes there and just really calm my
mind and connect to myself connect to my
Creator connect to the universe I would
do some sort of Prayer process as well
and that would just help to rejuvenate
myself immensely and to feel incredible
I might even do some yoga there on the
beach and do some stretching and then
I'd walk and run back run back home and
then by the time I get back home you
know Tatiana is also up she's doing her
ritual as well and getting herself ready
for the day and you know by the time
that we're there at home and have a
private chef and I'd have this chef that
would already have prepared for me my
wheatgrass shots and my ginger shots and
tumeric shots and all the health things
I love to do and it's all freshly juiced
and squeezed that's there available for
me that I didn't have to do myself that
I have the financial abundance that I
can hire someone to do that for me to
nurture my body so it could be the best
it can be and so I down my wheatgrass
and my tumeric and my ginger and the oil
of oregano and different things like
that apple cider vinegar you know those
things that don't taste that good but
they're incredibly
for you I'd already have all my
supplements prepared to that my chef
would already have prepared for me also
a green juice as well of kale and
spinach and all the great nutrition as
well and then you know what would I have
for breakfast what would you have for
breakfast if you could have anything you
want you know for me I'm a pretty
healthy person I like to have things
that support my body but I would have my
chef prepare this incredible smoothie
you know most of my smoothies don't
taste that good because I just throw in
a bunch of ingredients they're good for
you but I neglect the taste but this
professional chef you'd have amazing
recipes for me right that he'd just
prepare this incredible protein shake
that would just taste incredible and
would nurture my body and also prepare
me for a workout some weightlifting I do
in the next hour or two after that but
anyways I have that as well and then you
know I'd probably go into my office I'd
have this office this beautiful office
that I've already designed the way that
inspires me to have these huge windows
and light an incredible view and you
know motivational pictures and sayings
and phrases and and just a really cool
environment that would really excite me
and motivate me every day to spend time
in it and I would start the process of
planning out my day you know I'd really
plan out what do I want for this day
what do I want a crate that's part of my
ritual right so to plan things out and I
plan things out in detail then I'd
probably start off just by reflecting
just on my business and what's going on
I'd be an entrepreneur I am to this day
and it would be at that point but I'd be
in a position my business is just making
such a great impact and I'd start off my
day just taking in the impact that I've
made you know I'd have my manager and my
assistant that was just kind of update
me and a lot of the winds and really
great things that have been happening so
far like the impact that I've made or
some philanthropy work that I've been
doing and building schools and houses
and that would just fill me up for the
day and just really excite me maybe
there's a big launch or promotion that I
just did and I just made a ridiculous
amount of money and I just think how
cool is that that I get to be rewarded
financially in this way if we're doing
what I love right I see all this passive
income that came in while I was sleeping
making money while you sleep you know I
would probably check the stock markets
you know see um I invest
mints and see that all my investments
went up and I got paid dividends as well
on those investments and and just you
know taking in a lot of the good news
sometimes we've taken the negative news
that the media puts out there but we
don't take in all too good and so for me
there'd be a lot of incredible wins and
victories and things are just great
happening my business my team is working
in harmony with project life mastery and
you know what I would spend doing during
that day is is what my mission is like
what I really love you know after I
taken all that news I go into a studio
that I have in my home and I'd have this
awesome studio where I can film all my
YouTube videos my content and so I'd be
spending some time there and working
with my video maybe a production team
that I'm working with and we're planning
out ideas and videos and content that I
could create to make an impact and I
spent some time doing that or maybe I do
some research or some reading and in
self development work first before doing
that but I spend that time just creating
content that can serve you know I can't
think of anything better that I'd want
to do on my perfect day then living what
my mission is maybe there'd be a big
project like a course or a training
program or something on preparing for
and creating as well maybe I do like a
live stream on Instagram or YouTube and
connect with you guys and share and
serve in that way too so I would spend
several hours maybe doing that and then
afterwards I'd go to the gym and I'd
actually have this home gym in my house
that has all the top quality equipment
that I love a lot of biohacking stuff
that I love to like I love cryotherapy
and I love you know got my mini
trampoline there and and a lot of
different I've shared many of the
biohacking stuff that I've used before
the PMF mat all that stuff I'd have my
little gym that has all that stuff but
I'd also have my friends and maybe my
personal trainer that would actually
come over as well so I'd have my trainer
come would also be my friend at that
point it was just an incredible human
being incredible shape one of the best
in the world at what they do and I maybe
bring in another friend or two that we
can connect to and have a workout
together as my trainer guides us through
it and so we'd have this awesome workout
and of course I would look in the mirror
and to see my body sculpted and the way
I want it to be right that's part of my
perfect day is just having
that body and the energy that I'd really
have and want and you know we'd have an
awesome workout would be fun would be
laughing maybe afterwards we do some
more biohacking
type stuff or we what was I gonna say we
do some stretching and just kind of you
know cool down and everything too but
we'd also go into the kitchen that I'd
have and had to have my chef of course
repair post-workout supplements and
protein shakes and everything for us as
well
and we'd go out in this balcony I see
myself having this balcony that would be
just overlooking the ocean and
overlooking the beach and it'd be just
another beautiful day we'd have this
swimming pool and everything there and
the house that I live in but me and my
trainer and my friends we'd be there
just connecting and laughing and
spending time together so I'd be
spending time with them as well and then
after that I'd probably maybe go back to
my mission and do some work or what I'd
probably do is spend time with Tatiana
at this point I probably have kids too
you know I've I've got different visions
of course when I have kids and different
perfect days but let's say spending time
with Tatiana and so Tatiana and I would
go down to the beach and maybe hang out
on the beach with tan for a little bit
maybe you know we could go surfing
together and spend some time in the
ocean and really connect and be playful
and fun and then I always kind of see us
you know maybe the beach is like a
secluded beach and so probably
afterwards we would make love on the
beach right and and it'd be like this
romantic experience you know that could
be an option - part of my perfect day
maybe that's one day and then what we do
is we'd come back into the house and
we'd be getting ready for an amazing
evening that we're gonna be having in
fact what I decided to do is I decided
to fly in my friends and family from all
over the world right because at that
point my perfect day means I have the
financial abundance and freedom to do
that but I'd fly in my mom and my dad
and my sister my brother my nieces and
nephews a lot of close friends and I'd
fly them in and I have plans in Los
Angeles amazing dinner we'd have this
incredible dinner that's been planned
and we rented it out to restaurants and
have the chef prepare this and
meal for everyone and we'd spend some
time just all of us just connecting and
having an amazing experience and just
catching up with friends and feeling
grateful for one each other and sharing
stories and creating moments together
and then afterwards we've got this night
club that we also have a private party
that I've already planned and prepared
that I take my friends and family there
and we go dancing we're having fun and a
lot of my friends too you know I often
think part of your perfect day envision
who would be the friends you'd have in
your life and so for me and be like
certain celebrities you know people that
I love and respect like Dwayne the rock
Johnson would come and Kevin Hart would
come and Arnold Schwarzenegger would
come and stop by and you know all these
people that you know um you know I would
just kind of imagine and see myself
spending time with them and hanging out
and having a great time and connecting
with them and that's the kind of people
that I'd be spending my life with and
then afterwards Tatiana and I I'd
actually plan to have either a limousine
or a helicopter maybe one of the two but
something that would take us back to our
home and I've got planned for us that
evening time at nighttime it'd probably
be to two or three o'clock in the
morning but I would have planned on the
beach this really romantic setting with
candles and a blanket and and just this
incredible setup that's already been
prepared then I surprise Tatiana with
and we'd sit there and just look up at
the stars and you know right be right
there on the ocean with the waves
crashing in and just look up and just be
like wow what an amazing day what an
amazing life how blessed are we and we'd
probably in the evening making love and
doing some Tantra experiences and and
that would be the end of the day so
that's an example for you that's one of
my perfect days and I have many I have
many that are further in the future with
kids and family and traveling in
different destinations of a different
people and vacations and workdays and
things of that nature but I'm sure you
can see the level of detail and depth of
what I went into and that it actually
even be even more in depth in depth
about what I'd eat and what I'd feel
hour by hour throughout that perfect day
but hopefully you can see I get excited
when I focus on it I get juiced up I get
like oh my god I can see it and
visualize it maybe we're able to see
that as well as I described it is
actually visualize herself but there's
so much power in doing that so I want to
encourage you to do the same I want you
to spend some time and journal and write
it out hour by hour first maybe imagine
and see it and ask yourself these
questions but journal Oh hour by hour to
that time you'd wake up to the time you
go to bed
what that perfect day would be like for
you and again make sure there's no
limitations on it think about where
would you live
what kind of house would you live in
what would you spend doing that day what
would you eat that day what would you
feel throughout the day for me my day of
course I always wanted to consist of
family and friends and health and my
mission and contribution and just make
sure that it checked the box and all the
different areas of my life mastery
blueprint so make sure you think about
that to make sure you think about in
detail everything that would be involved
for that day and again that clarity has
so much power when you go into that
level of depth and I think you'll be
surprised by doing this you'll feel a
new excitement and new energy for your
life on what you really wants and you
know I remember for me when I first
started doing this when I was in my
early 20s I thought man if I'm going to
live in California if that's my vision I
got to go there I remember when I was
like 23 or 24 years old I went down to
San Diego I just said you know I got to
go for it I was building a business at
the time and I was able to make enough
just to support myself but I stayed in
hostels and I stayed in different parts
of San Diego and I remember one time was
I was in the Luke La Jolla in San Diego
and I was walking down the beach and I'm
looking at the homes and imagining
myself living there one day and you know
I just started taking the steps you know
it might seem like that vision is so way
out in the future but for me I just
started taking those steps to slowly get
there and created a plan that I believe
could get me there and I'm always been
updating that plan and revising it and
tweaking and modifying it and I knew the
path to get there was building an online
business and creating financial
abundance and and already today I can
start practicing you could as well
waking up with gratitude and joy and
your ritual those are things you could
do right now that can already help you
get to creating what that perfect
but you've got to do the work to get
there but it just starts with having
that vision that excites you and and
having that perfect day so I want to
encourage you to go through this process
hopefully you've been inspired by this
by me transparently sharing this with
you and what my perfect day would be but
I wanted to give you this gift and to
inspire you to do the same for yourself
in your life and it's always special if
you have a partner in your life a man or
a woman to share this with them even
your kids and ask them ask your family
what their perfect day is and and that's
how you can also make sure you're in
alignment with that person as well to
move in that same direction in your life
