How To Stay Motivated Throughout The Day



hey guys Stefan here from
projectlifemastery.com in this video I
want to talk to you about how to stay
motivated throughout the day now I'm a
pretty motivated person I workout
everyday I grow my business I have a lot
of passion a lot of energy I'm always
take an action achieving my goals my
dreams however there are some days where
I'm lacking some motivation you know my
motivation might be a little bit lower
it's more rare now because I've learned
how to create it but there are still
some days like that so I want to share
with you some tips and some things that
have worked for me and can work for you
as well for being motivated not just
throat your day but throughout your
entire life now the very first thing
that I'll say is that you need to have
goals and you need to have goals that
excite you you need to have goals that
when you look at them you actually get
fired up because having a compelling
future a compelling vision is what's
going to pull you towards that you know
there's two types of motivation there's
push motivation and then there's pull
motivation push motivation is when
you're trying to push yourself to do
something it's you know expending a lot
of willpower a lot of your RAM and
everything on a lot of your energy and
you could do that for only so long but
eventually you're gonna get burnt out
you need pull motivation you need
something that excites you so much that
you link so much pleasure to that you
feel pulled towards in it almost becomes
effortless most of my life is like that
and it starts with having a compelling
future compelling goals in your life
that excite you when you think about it
when you visualize it it actually makes
you excited because you can't wait to
make that happen and there's a sense of
urgency within you so having goals that
excite you is the first thing and the
second piece is having compelling enough
of reasons of why that's a must for you
why you want that goal why you want that
dream that that vision whatever it is
that you really want you need to come up
with the reasons because the reasons are
what's going to fuel you you know they
say that 80% of success is why to do
something and 20% is the Hound so 80% is
a why having a strong enough why why do
you want that goal why do you want that
dream why do you want to make this
happen why is that important for you and
if you can come up with enough reasons
that really excite you then you're gonna
find that that motive
it's gonna pull you towards it and so to
make sure to make this something that
happens all throughout your day I know
for myself I'm always focused on my
goals I'm always focused on why I want
this I'm always reminding myself of this
noise having thoughts of it and maybe
you know you can put it in your office
you could put it around you so you can
always remind yourself of that but I
found that to be a very critical piece
it's a good little book called it works
it's like 10 pages you can read it in
like 30 minutes but this book one of the
things that it talks about is that you
have to write out your goals and you
have to put it in your back pocket or in
your wallet you have to cure it around
to everywhere and you have to look at
that list of goals that you have in the
morning and the afternoon and before you
go to bed just to continually focus on
what it is that you want because
whatever you focus on is what you're
gonna move towards so goals very
important know what you want why you
want it and then another piece I share
as well is having a warning ritual you
have to have a ritual in the morning to
put yourself in that state of motivation
because that's really what motivation is
it's a state it's a feeling and you can
trigger it first thing in the morning so
have a ritual first thing in the morning
you know spend some time doing whatever
it is that you have to do looking at
your goals maybe saying things out loud
you know I sometimes turn my goals into
an affirmation or an incantation now if
my goal is to make a million dollars a
year I will say I will make a million
dollars a year I'll make a million
dollars a year I'll just say that out
loud again and again and again or it
could be doing visualizations first
thing in the morning it could be reading
a book it could be meditating it could
be exercising it could be asking
yourself certain questions like what do
I want for my life you know what do I
want to achieve today what do I want to
give what what kind of difference do I
want to make so controlling your focus
first thing in the morning but the way
that it becomes sustainable all
throughout the day is you have to
continually do that you know I have a
daily ritual I have a video blog on my
daily ritual somewhere on my youtube
channel but I have a daily ritual that
all throughout the day I'm getting
myself in a great state I'm getting
myself motivating before I record a
video I'm asking myself questions I'm
putting myself on the right state I'm
asking myself you know
is what I want to share important why is
it gonna make a difference you know why
do I care about the person that's
watching this video what kind of
difference do I want to make I'm asking
these questions because they help get me
motivated but they also put me in a
great state to deliver my best you know
I do that before a coaching call I do
that before almost everything that I do
certain projects that I'm working on I
asked myself care what do I want here
why do I want this and I'm constantly
reminding myself of that so in order to
be motivated all throughout your day to
be motivated over the long term you need
to have your goals you need after
reasons or purpose why and you've got to
have rituals you have to have a ritual
in the morning and ideally rituals all
throughout the day that put yourself
back in that state if you catch yourself
getting yourself in a position where
you're not feeling you know like you
want to do it you feel you're lacking at
motivation everything what you need to
do is go back to your goals and your
reasons why and do a ritual go back to
that start thinking about okay why you
know what do I want to accomplish why do
I want that was it gonna cost me if I
don't do this if I just continue you
know sitting on the couch doing nothing
you know and sometimes pain that's a
reason right using pain to get yourself
off your house to actually take action
and do it so using pain and pleasure to
your advantage you know thinking about
the consequence of not doing it thinking
about the pain how it's gonna affect
your life how it's gonna hurt your life
what you're gonna miss out on if you
don't do this that pain often can can
just kind of give us that boost to get
going on it and then just reminding
yourself on the pleasure of achieving
your goals of making it happen of of you
know doing whatever it is that you need
to do so constantly asking yourself
those questions thinking about your
goals and just having it that's so
exciting for you that you just can't
wait to make it happen I find that's a
really key and important piece you know
for me I just get excited about any
opportunity to grow and to give you know
I want to always improve myself any
opportunity I have to learn to grow and
improve myself I get excited for them so
I have no problem reading books or
listening to you know podcasts or
watching YouTube videos or investing in
certain programs some things because
it's gonna make me better and improve me
and the more that
learn the more excited and more
motivated that I actually get by also I
just can't wait to make more of a
difference I can't wait to do more and
it's not even for money or anything like
that because once you start making a lot
of money you realize that money really
doesn't matter you know money just is
just something that gets deposited in
your bank account and you know maybe you
would buy some more stocks or like a
real estate investment property and
doesn really affect the quality of your
life like it did you know when you're
broken struggling you know it becomes a
certain point when you have abundance in
your life and money is no longer the
motivator but the motivator is more to
give and to to share and make a
difference because your needs are
already taken care of and now you want
to help be able to empower the people
because that gives you more fulfillment
in your life so hopefully this video has
