hey guys Stefan here from project life
master comm recently got a question from
someone asking whether or not they
should feel embarrassed about promoting
and marketing themselves online you know
they had a blog and a YouTube channel
and you know there's still embarrassed
page to their friends their friends
would see it then maybe judge them and
make fun of them and my answer that is
no you should not feel embarrassed with
that in fact you should be proud of
whatever it is that you're putting out
there you know I know for myself with my
youtube channel my blog I don't hide it
from people you know like I post that
openly and freely on my Facebook page
all my friends see it my family sees it
people on Instagram see it people on my
Twitter see it you know basically
everybody sees it and my philosophy with
that is that my business is an extension
of Who I am okay my business is a big
part of my life and it's my mission in
life and if you're gonna be my friend
then a friend is someone that supports
me a friend is someone that's gonna
accept what I'm about and Who I am and
you know this is who I am this is my
business I'm a marketer as well I'm a
business owner I'm an entrepreneur I'm a
coach on the speaker on all these things
and you have to basically understand and
accept this is Who I am and I want to
market myself and promote myself and
share all the stuff that I'm learning
all the things that I'm doing and you
know if you don't like that then you
probably shouldn't be my friend you know
these people that are on your Facebook
and stuff if they're gonna make fun of
you and be negative and not support you
then they don't have a right to be your
friend in your life you don't want those
people in your life at all you know you
want people that are gonna be your
cheerleaders people they're gonna
support what you're doing and encourage
you and light your stuff and maybe even
help promote your stuff as well you know
I remember when I first started my
youtube journey I had this one person
that he wasn't really a friend but just
someone that I knew and I remember like
a few years later came up to me and said
man like I remember when you first
started posting these YouTube videos and
I remember seeing this on
Facebook and stuff and I was kind of
like chuckling a little bit us laughing
kind of making fun of it you know like
oh you know what's this thing that
Stefan is doing you know this is kind of
weird and strange and you know but then
he said once I saw the success that
you're having and how you evolved then I
was really impressed what by what you're
doing and I think that was a really good
point you know when I first started
people laughed at me they made fun of me
they probably thought you had their
different opinions and stuff like that
but now that there's seem a success that
I've created none of those people say
anything okay none of those people and
that all those people are like wow like
how can I do what you've done you know I
remember when I first started publishing
Kindle books and stuff before like you
know my family or any online business
really liked my online business before
that people are like what is that really
even a job is that really even a
business do you make money from your
blog even make money from YouTube and
stuff and they're kind of judging it
making fun of it but again the results
you speak for itself so you know if you
do have people like that the best way to
prove them wrong is by having massive
success okay but at the same time you
know you shouldn't let anyone's opinion
hold you back from growing what it is
that you want to grow you know you
should be able to openly express and
communicate and promote whatever it is
that you're passionate about your
business your product whatever is to
have no shame in it I have no shame in
promoting my stuff you know I'll
probably post this video on on Facebook
or something like that
and I have the mentality of like if you
don't like it and then you shouldn't be
my friend on Facebook or on social media
you know I kind of treat my youtube
channel my Facebook everything is kind
of like you're a guest in my house you
know if you had someone come over to
your house and they're being rude and
negative then you'd probably ask them to
leave you know and for me I just have no
tolerance for any of that stuff if I
find someone being negative or whatever
it is either myself or my team will just
unfriend that person you know not have
them being a part of my life because I
don't want to surround myself with
people like that you know like I said I
want people they're gonna cheer me on
and and see the potential
that I have you know not just for what
I'm doing but for the potential that I
have I have some old videos of mine and
stuff like that you know obviously the
quality and Who I am has evolved over
the years but if you look back at my
older youtube videos you can see the
change and the difference but I'm still
proud of that I'm still proud of the
message that I shared everything that
I've talked about because it's all stuff
that's benefited me and it's with the
intent of helping other people and you
know I don't care how I come across how
I look all those little things that
people will judge you for I don't only
care about that at all I'm on a mission
to do something bigger in my life and
create bigger things and I think you got
to have that same mentality just having
that confidence and who you are putting
yourself out there because trust me you
put yourself out there online you're
gonna be susceptible to Chris's
criticism and negativity and hate and
all kinds of crazy stuff out there you
know it kind of comes with the territory
but you have to learn to not care about
it not let it affect you and just have a
bigger purpose a bigger why for what it
is you're doing so hopefully this helps
out any YouTube person out there
bloggers marketer or someone that wants
to put themselves out there just to not
worry about what people think put
yourself out there promote yourself as
much as you want as much as you can
again the people that are your real
friends will actually support you with
it and encourage you and sure you want
to feel proud of you and accept you for
what what you're doing and what you're
