Take This Everyday... (Athletic Greens Review)


Hey everyone, this is Stefan from projectlifemastery.com, and welcome
to my kitchen. In today's video, I'm going to share with you guys a really
amazing product that I take every single day, that has made a huge difference to
my health, my energy, my vitality, my well-being, it's helped me with my workout
recovery, and it's a product that I'm really passionate about, and you guys
might already be familiar with it as well because I share it on my Snapchat.
I share my rituals, my routines, the products that I use every single day on
my Snapchat, and if you guys follow me on Snapchat, then you guys will see and know
that I value my health
above everything else. The standards that I have for my health, what goes through my
body, is really the most important thing, because I believe it's more important than
success, than money, than everything else, because if you don't take care of
yourself, your vessel, your temple, then you're not going to have the energy to
be able to build a business.
You're not going to have the energy, the passion, to have an incredible
relationship. You're not going to have the energy to pursue the goals and the
dreams that you're after.
Oftentimes, a lot of people, they have these incredible goals and dreams, but
they don't have the energy to actually pursue them,
and so for me, at a younger age of my life, I realized this, and I realized that
energy is life. Energy is everything, and I've got to master that.
I've got to invest in my health, I've got to make sure that I took good care of my
body, because a lot of diseases are preventable.
A lot of disease happens later in our lives because we didn't take
good care of our bodies at a younger stage, and so what happens is if you're
operating and living a lifestyle that's very acidic, it's very damaging and detrimental
to your health, and what's going to happen, you're going to build up a lot of
toxicity,
the body's not able to cleanse itself and get rid of a lot of the toxins, and
then you end up getting these symptoms that basically are just ways of your
body of getting rid of toxins.
Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and a lot of skin problems
are because you've accumulated so many toxins that your body goes into this
auto-intoxication mode, and it basically tries to get rid of the toxicity through your
skin, or maybe you get rid of it through your bowels, or through the urinary tract,
or through your lungs, or whatever it is.
These are all ways your body tries to get rid of toxicity. I'm going to share
with you guys the products that I take.
I've done some other videos as well that share a lot of the other ones,

link in the description. The product that I'm really passionate about, that
I've been taking now for a while, and I've been taking it when I travel, it
goes with me everywhere, because it's really made that much of a difference, is
the product right here called Athletic Greens, okay, Athletic Greens. I'm not sure
if you're familiar with greens products, but I've tried a lot of them over the
years, and oftentimes there's a few barriers for some, some of them, they don't
really taste that good,
others aren't really that great quality, some don't really have the quality,
the process that they're dehydrated with is really important,
because you've got to make sure that when you extract the greens and the nutrients and
everything from the plants, that you don't cook it or process it, and it
doesn't get damaged in any way. With the greens powders, it's really important,
because when you mix it with water, what happens is, it becomes active again, it
becomes alive. This is the product that I use and take called
Athletic Greens, it's one of the best ones that I've found out there on the
market.
It's a really premium quality product, and so oftentimes, the better
quality products will cost a bit more money as well, but I've always valued
my health more than anything.
In fact, I've always believed that money is easily made, but your health ... You
lose that, and that's it, right? There's people that are sick that
are billionaires, that would give all the money they could to get their health back.
I've always believed in investing, if you're going to invest money, you've
got to invest it in yourself, your health, your energy, your body, because you've got to
make that more important than anything.
It's a really quality premium product. You can see I usually buy it in
bulk, I've got three here. They've got a few other products as well, but it's called
Athletic Greens.
This is your "nutritional insurance,"
is what it says here on the package, and it's a premium superfood cocktail, so
it helps with your energy, your health, body, immunity, happiness, et cetera. If
you look at the supplement facts, and I'll have a link to the website below so you
guys can check it out, but there's a few different features of it,
okay?
Number one, it has a lot of great vitamins in it, a lot of great nutrition,
which is really important.
This one is made up of spirulina, wheatgrass, and different grasses and
leaves, and, let's see ... Barley leaf, chlorella, broccoli flower, let's see, what else ...
Spinach, kale, et cetera. A lot of really quality greens goes into this, and for
most of us, we live in a society where we're not getting enough greens, and we
live in a very acidic state. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the pH
balance. There's a really great book by Dr. Robert Young called The pH Miracle. I
remember reading this book when I was about 21 years old, and it really
kickstarted my whole health and alkalinity journey. Most foods and
things that we consume are very acidic. For example, a lot of foods that you
might eat, they produce acid in the body.
In fact, a lot of people's water, as well, is very acidic, or if you're drinking
certain waters, they put in chemicals and stuff to try to bring up
the pH. If you're not familiar with pH, pH is basically a scale from 0 to 14.
Anything above 7 is alkaline, anything below is acidic. 7.365 is
neutral, and that's where, our body has to maintain that,
and so what happens is our body, if we go too acidic, then our body's
going to pull minerals from our bones and connective tissue to help alkalize
and bring back to that balance. It's really important that you
make sure that you're in a very alkaline environment. Also, stress produces acid,
even when you work out, you lift weights, you do anything that's anaerobic, you're
building lactic acid, and your body has to have a way to flush that out and get
rid of the acid so that you can actually recover faster
as well. Alkalinity, I'm not going to give a whole speech on that, I recommend
you do your research on it, but very important to make sure that you alkalize
your body, you cleanse your body, and you get the right nutrition, and greens is
one of the ultimate sources, because greens, especially the darker the
greens are, the more alkaline they are, and the better they are for you. They
have the phytonutrients that you need, the chlorophyll, which is very
similar to the hemoglobin in blood, which is your river of life,
cleanses your blood, and there's just really incredible health benefits from
it. Consuming a greens powder like this, I do recommend to make sure
you're eating salads and juices, and you're eating a lot of spinach and kale
and dark greens, wheatgrass is one of the best out there as well. I recommend
that you're doing that, because that's going to provide so much for you and so many
health benefits, but for most people, they're not doing that.
That's why supplementing with greens is really important,
and even if you are, you're really not getting enough, not unless you're like a
raw food kind of person, and I've been
a raw foodist at different points in my life as well, I eat a lot of
raw food, but even then, I do recommend still supplementing with this, because
you'll get more concentrated form of greens, which is really great for you as
well.
The alkalinity is one of the biggest features, one of the biggest
factors that can help you with your health, and when I take this product, it
gives me so much energy. I take it first thing in the morning. It's best to take it
on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, because when you first wake up,
your body is cleansing. Your body is always cleansing itself,
okay, always, always cleansing, but what happens is, when you start eating food,
solid food, solid meals, then your body has to digest it, and so, oftentimes, the
cleansing process slows down, your body's now using its energy, making it a
priority to digest the food. When you have it first thing in the morning,
when you've been sleeping, and your body has been digesting and
cleansing all through the night, when you wake up and you have a meal, then your
body's going into more digestion mode. That's why I have this on an empty
stomach in
the morning, so that I can prolong the cleansing process.
I usually wait before I eat my first meal as well, because I want to make sure
that I'm kind of fasting so I can cleanse even further, which is really great.
This will give you a lot of energy, because it's very concentrated, and I
have about a tablespoon in the morning, teaspoon to tablespoon in the morning, and
it just cleanses my body, it has enzymes in it, it just ... If
you want to be alive, you've got to eat live food, and so this is like an alive
source that has a high frequency of energy, so that when you consume it,
you feel this buzz, you feel really good.
If you're not familiar with the energetic factor of foods, that's a
whole other topic, but you can actually measure the energy of food in terms of
megahertz, so cooked food or processed foods, you can remember, have a
very low energetic value, whereas like an avocado, or fruits, vegetables, anything
that's alive,
it's going to have a higher energetic value, so when you put it into your body,
you're going to feel more energy from that. Amazing product, guys.
I take it first thing in the morning, I also take it after my workouts, because I
think that's a really optimal time to take it, because it will help you to
recover from your workouts and get rid of the lactic acid, which is very
important for recovery.
Basically what I do is I put in, honestly, usually, probably like a tablespoon
is what I use each dose, but I put it in a shaker cup like this,
mix it with water, shake it, it's going to become alive, it tastes really good,
and then you drink it.
I usually just chug it first thing in the morning, and it's part
of my morning ritual.
They have some other products, like this is an omega-3 supplement, and this has
a natural source of triglycerides. If you're not taking omega-3s, you're
definitely missing out. This also has a very high concentrate of EPAs and DHA.
DHA is really important to make sure that you're getting in your diet, because
Omega-3s really helps you with your brain function, and really helps you with
your mood, and your happiness,
treating depression, and things like that. There's a really great book
called The Depression Cure. I read it years ago,
highly recommended, and it basically shared that there's five ways to
treat depression naturally. I did a video blog on this maybe a few years
ago, I think, but one of them is realizing that Omega-3s is a really
important source, because many years ago, most people didn't get depression.
Depression's more of like a modern kind of disease. They studied the Amish. The
Amish, they haven't evolved their lifestyle with the rest of
society, with technology and all the things that we have,
so the Amish still live as if a hundred years ago. For the Amish,
getting depression is very rare, and what they've found is that our lifestyles have
created depression in a lot of ways. Some of it's genetic, of course, I'm not
discounting it in any way, but a lot of it's a lifestyle-related disease. For
example, many years ago,
we used to get a lot of Omega-3s from fish, from nuts, from
plants, and now a lot of our foods are very deficient in Omega-3s, and
that's why it's very important to make sure you supplement with it, and DHA is a really
important source of that. Not to go into this whole other topic, but other
factors they mention in the book is sunlight.
Most of us, we live in a society where we don't get enough sunlight, we're indoors,
human beings, they always lived outdoors, and we always spent a lot of time outdoors
in the sun, definitely affects your vitamin D levels, your happiness, your mood.
Also making sure you exercise, that has been proven to help with
depression massively, because we're not meant, human beings, to live in an office
and sit down in a chair for eight hours a day, or sit on the couch
for eight hours a day.
We're meant to be moving, to hunt and gather, and use our bodies,
and so that also changes our mood and our overall happiness, and everything
else. That's a whole other subject for another day, but anyways, a

always invest more to have a natural product, or a product that's more organic, because
I understand the process of that is really important for my body, as well as
economically, for the environment,
and other factors too. If I were to give you guys any advice when it
comes to health,
don't cheap out on it, don't buy the crap supplements you'll find at
Costco or the typical grocery store, because a
lot of those products, they're just trying to sell you something that's
really cheap,
they don't put much into the product itself, and it's not going to really do
your body that great. I'm always on the hunt for the best quality, because I
treat my body like a Ferrari.
You're not going to put the cheapest gas, the cheapest fuel, into your
Ferrari, if you have one. You're going to make sure that you cherish it, and that
you take good care of it, and sure enough, you're going to get more use out of
that Ferrari long-term. It's going to perform a lot better, and your body is really
the same way.
