Hey everyone, this is Stefan from ProjectLifeMastery.com and today I want
to talk to you about something that I believe that most people in society
all really want deep down inside. We all crave it, we all desire it, and what that
really is is to be happy. I believe that you and I, all human beings,
we all really want to be happy in our lives. We want a sense of joy,
fulfillment, a sense of meaning and be excited for our lives. The challenge
that I've observed is that most people in society today have bought into the
lie and the illusion that happiness and joy and fulfillment comes from outside
of ourselves. That you have to put your focus and emphasis on the external
results and rewards of life instead of focusing internally, understanding and
knowing that the happiness that you are looking for, that you're craving and
seeking is already within you. That's why I think a lot of people,
they focus just on making money, right? They want to make a certain amount of
money, or they want to start their business, or they want to create a
certain lifestyle, or freedom, or they want to buy this car, or this house, or
some sort of materialistic possession. Or they're maybe more focused on their body
and achieving a certain body weight and having a six pack. Or maybe it's
attracting a man or a woman into their life and having love and a
great relationship. Don't get me wrong, I think those are all great things.
They're all important. I've pursued those in my life as well. But the challenge is
that when you believe that in order to be happy, you need to have this or that,
something outside of yourself, instead of recognizing and understanding that you
could be happy right now regardless of your outside circumstances, regardless of
having that car, or having that man or woman in your life, or having your ideal
body, or having a lot of money. In fact, there's people out there in the world
that have nothing. They're broke, in debt or poor, they're
alone, people that are sick and dying, and yet they still
have decided, regardless of their circumstances, to be happy and joyful and
cheerful. There's people out there in the same way that have
a lot of money, they're maybe multi-millionaires or billionaires, and they
have everything on the outside world, and yet they're not happy, they're not fulfilled.
That's why you see celebrities and famous people actually commit suicide,
and actually they're depressed, they're unhappy, regardless. You see them
have it all, but deep down, they haven't learned to master their emotions and
really find the happiness within themselves. I was reading the
other day that there's over 2,000 billionaires in the world, and every five
days in China there's a new billionaire, every six days in the United States
there's a new billionaire. But I believe what's more rare than a billionaire is
someone that's really happy. Someone who's fulfilled. Someone that loves their
life. Oftentimes, that's what I look for in human beings. People that I want
to learn from, or people that I respect the most, aren't just the people out there
that just have a lot of money or they're really fit. That's great, but I look at,
are they really happy? Are they really fulfilled? Because most people have
bought into the illusion that this vehicle, they use their business,
they use money, they use their body, they use relationships or friends, or whatever
it might be, as a vehicle to go after and achieve certain emotional states, right?
That's the belief system that they have programmed in their minds. Oftentimes,
most of marketing today, most of society, they're marketing that to you. When you
look at a magazine or you watch TV or whatever it might be,
you're being marketed to buy a product, because ultimately what you're really
after is the emotion that you believe that this product can provide for you, or
that result will provide for you. It's not true, my friends. In fact, what if
instead, if I were to propose this to you: Instead of operating that way, which is
believing that in order to be happy, I need to achieve or get something outside
of myself to be happy, what if instead you decided that I'm going to be happy
regardless. I'm going to be happy regardless of what my outside world
looks like, just because I've decided to and I choose to. That I'm in control,
you're in control, of our emotional states. That regardless of what's going
on, you can always look for the good, you can always
appreciate the good in every situation of life. You can always have something to
be grateful for, having something to be excited for and happy about. Even
though it might not be ideal yet, but if instead you operated from happiness
first, to making that a higher value on your list, to prioritizing your own
happiness. What if instead, that actually helped you to attract and achieve more
in your life? What if instead of achieving to be happy, you happily
achieved? I believe, and what I've noticed in myself in my life, is that when I
started to put happiness first, above all of that, and I created a powerful ritual in
my life, where I decided, you know what, every day, every single morning, I'm going to spend
time for myself just to be happy. To take in all the gifts of my life. Trust me,
there's been times in my life when my life hasn't looked so good. Times in my life
when man, I was really, really struggling and I had a lot to be unhappy about. But I
decided regardless that if I can be happy now, and I can be happy despite the chaos,
despite the adversity in my life, then I'd really have mastered life in a
much higher level. I'd really have taken control of my life and that's the most
important thing. What I found, and what I want to
propose to you, is that the fact that if you actually prioritize your happiness
first, and you decide I'm going to be happy regardless, I can almost guarantee
you that it's going to make everything else in your life much easier.
You know that man or woman you're trying to attract to that great relationship?
Maybe you're already in a relationship but you want to take it to another level, or
maybe it's not going so well. Well if you brought happiness to that, or if you were
happy yourself, I can almost promise you that you're going to attract someone
into your life much differently as opposed to you being needy or not fully
complete yourself. I can promise you that if you're a lot happier, you're probably
going to uplift your current relationship that you might already be
in. I can promise you that if you're a lot happier, you're probably going to
make better food choices. You're probably going to want to go outside and
exercise and take better care of yourself and your body, because you're
already happy, and that's going to result in you
being able to achieve your health and fitness goal that much faster. I can
almost promise you that if you're happier, then that's going to help you
improve the amount of money that you make. It's going to help you feel more
motivated to start your business, to grow your business, to perform a lot better at
at your job. I think a lot of people have got it backwards. You have to
de-hypnotize yourself into understanding that happiness has to be so important.
It has be more important than anything. Otherwise, what's going to happen
is that you're going to achieve the things that you set out to achieve,
you're going to achieve that car and that house and that body and that
relationship and all that stuff, but here's what's going to happen. Here's
the scary part. Once you get it, you're going to realize that that did not
make you happy. That regardless of all these things that you've worked so hard to
acquire, because you believed would give you that happiness, that you're going to
feel a sense of emptiness inside. Then you're going to look to something
else. You're going to look to another goal, something else you can achieve, or
might even lead you to going down a hole of drugs or something else, to escape
because your life isn't the way that you expected it to be. I'm here to tell
you that I believe that the better way of going about it is to make happiness a
more important priority. Happiness is something that most people don't
value as much, because it's not as tangible. It's not as tangible as a
car or a house or a body or a girlfriend or a boyfriend or a husband or a wife.
You can measure that, it's more specific. Whereas happiness, it's
something that people can't tangibly measure it in the same
way. Happiness is different for everybody. There's certain universal
principles and patterns of happiness that without a doubt can help
enhance that. I'm not saying that money and a relationship can't
amplify it, but it's not the sole source of happiness. In fact, you don't even want
your happiness to be dependent on something outside of yourself, because
if it's only dependent on a man or a woman or a relationship or a body or
money, then what happens when that goes away is that
you have all this attachment to it, but when that goes away, then your
happiness will go away with it. Here's what I want to propose to you guys is make
happiness a higher priority, shift your mindset, your belief system. Decide that, you
know what? I can be happy now. I'm going to spend the first part of my day, which
is the most important part of your day, the moment that you wake up, and create a
ritual. Create a ritual for yourself and do what makes you happy. Whatever that
might be. I know for myself, I've got crazy rituals that I do, but
I enjoy learning each day, and I enjoy taking care of my health and my body, and
giving my body love. I enjoy just spending time meditating. I enjoy
spending time just focusing on and thinking about what I'm grateful for.
What's great in my life and what I'm happy about, so that I train myself
to always look for the good, no matter what. No matter what's going on, there's always
good. I will find it and that will help amplify my life and
remind myself how blessed I really am. Maybe it's doing some exercise
and taking good care of your body. I think that can be an act of love. But
change your belief system about why you're doing it.
Start off the day happy, because when you're full, rather than being empty each
day, because a lot of people start the day empty and they're trying to fill
themselves up. What if you start off the day full? You fill yourself up in the
morning with your ritual, and then now when you're full, you're overflowing with love
in abundance and happiness and that will have a contagious effect to
everyone else around you. In fact, I think that you being happy every day is the
greatest gift that you can give to other human beings on this planet. So create a
ritual, or do whatever works for you. I don't know whatever that might be for
you, but take the time to prioritize that more, value that more in your life, study
happiness. I know a lot of people, they want to make money, they'll
start studying that and buying books on business and marketing. Pick up a
happiness books, make it a study. Pick up some books maybe on some
spirituality or your emotions, and really make more emphasis and focus on that,
because at the end of the day, that's really what you want deep down inside.
Hopefully this video could be a good reminder for some of you to really value
that more, make an emphasis on it. Not just be one-dimensional in your life
and just focus on one aspect, but I believe in life mastery and
the foundation of that is your health, your mindset, your emotions.
You really master those areas of your life, those are the ones that are going to
