i'm going to share with you how this
ring right here on my finger helps me
perform at a much higher level every
single day now no this is not some sort
of magical ring this is not some sort of
remove thing or doesn't give me
does have some great benefits and it
does help me perform at a much higher
level now I've been wearing this ring
for the last few months many people my
videos have asked what is this ring is
there a purpose behind it is there more
to it than one we see I and the answer
is yes I'm going to show you guys what
this is in this video the benefits that
I've received from it and benefits that
you could have from something like this
as well so what this is is known as the
aura ring or a ring oh you are a ring
and what it is is an activity and sleep
tracker but it's actually more than that
it's more like a high-performance
tracker so think about a Fitbit but much
more advanced and much higher level
now to give you guys some context I'm a
huge fan of activity trackers I think
they're great
I've had Fitbit for many years I think
anything brings more awareness to our
overall activity on a day to day basis
and it motivates us to be more active to
move more is a really good thing because
human beings were not made to sit we're
not made to sit all day in front of the
couch and in front of TV on the couch or
on the desk you know in the car we're
not made for them or made to be moving
we're made to be active and you know by
having a tracker like this it helps to
motivate you psychologically and have
awareness about how much activity you're
getting towards the day and setting
goals and milestones for yourself so I
think things like this are fantastic to
have now there's a reason why I upgraded
from the Fitbit to the aura ring and I'm
going to show you guys some of the
benefits and some of the reasons and how
it works in this video I'm also going to
share with you guys the app that is on
my phone that comes with the or ring and
I'm sure to get some of the data for my
life and give you guys just an idea of
how it works now the first thing is the
activity tracker component similar to a
Fitbit it tracks your steps how many
calories you burn for the day etc but
it's a lot more accurate
because tracking on the finger is more
accurate than tracking on the wrist or
on the veins and it gives you also
certain benefits like also tracking your
heart rate and your body temperature
which has a lot of really great benefits
to your sleep and something called your
readiness score which is something I'll
share a little bit later in this video
so my steps my activity different levels
of activity whether it's light exercise
or more intense exercise this ring will
track for me and it syncs to my phone by
bluetooth it will also give me some good
insights on my overall activity and
actually tell me the awesome optimal
times for me on a custom day to day per
day basis of when I should be exercising
when I should be moving that I should be
taking more breaks throughout the day at
times to get up to stretch to get up go
for a walk so it's a more like a high
level it gathers a lot of data of your
life and then it helps you optimize
yourself and gives you notification and
suggestions on how to perform better
which is really really cool the other
benefit is the sleep tracking which is
the main benefit that I use it for
because I've been really getting into
biohacking my sleep and improving it
because sleep is such an important
important thing for just overall
performance in life now Fitbit tracks
your sleep as well but one thing I like
about the aura ring is that will track
the different levels of sleep so I'll
track my light sleep my REM sleep which
is rapid eye movement and also my deep
sleep which is the most important type
of sleep which is the most restorative
and best for hormonal production and
overall recovery energy etc so one thing
I found for myself is you know I would
sleep for eight hours let's say and some
days you know after eight hours of sleep
I'd wake up and I feel energized excited
happy and be really productive and it'd
be a great day other days of sleep eight
hours but maybe a little bit more
challenging you know I wouldn't have the
same amount of energy maybe you can
relate and I found you know what's the
difference I'm sleeping eight hours and
what I learned by using something like
the or or or a ring is it's not about
how long is sleep it's about the quality
of your sleep
so with this ring because it tracks your
heart rate which is very important while
you sleep because when you sleep your
heart rate goes a lot lower and your
temperature it's able to give you some
really good insights about the quality
of your sleep so for example I found for
myself I'd be you know in the past get
30 minutes of deep sleep and that was a
big factor of why I wasn't as you know
recovering at the same pace and didn't
have as much energy for the next day and
by having this awareness of tracking
this I've been able to increase the
amount of deep sleep that I have to up
to two hours in some cases and my energy
in my entire day my entire life is
transformed because of that and so maybe
we'll do another video in the future in
terms of sleep acts and how to improve
your deep sleep and whatnot but the
first step is tracking and that's why
I'm a big fan of this ring here because
you know first thing in the morning I
always look at my sleep I want to know
how my sleep was and I want to know how
I can improve that now what it also does
is it takes your activity and your sleep
and it helps you determine what is
called your readiness score and I'll
show you what that is on the app and I'm
going to show you a little bit later in
this video but your overall readiness is
your performance for that day and so you
know for example if I've got a good
night's sleep and has really well
quality and I recovered well from my
exercise and activity etc then the app
will help me understand how much I can
perform for that day and it also give me
factors like even suggest to me you know
what Steph and you didn't get enough
recovery the last few days or yesterday
today take it more easy or you know what
Stephan you're energized you're
recovered today you can you can hit it
hard and it will actually give me a
custom feedback to perform at a much
higher level which is really really cool
so a lot of really cool benefits it's
going to make more sense when I show you
the app for this but one of the main
reasons I'll just add to this why I
switch from a Fitbit to the aura ring is
both Fitbit and aura ring they both sync
to a phone or a mobile device by
bluetooth but one thing I've been
learning is that there's a lot of
negative effects on the body
dirty electricity or electrical
pollution meaning you want to typically
avoid having certain devices on your
body like your cell phone because the
Bluetooth and the Wi-Fi signals they
transmit negative energy to your body
which can affect your energy can affect
your mental focus brain fog your overall
mood etc and there's been a lot more
research for this now and I'm a big fan
of EMS and eliminating those and the PIA
EMF mats that I have at different
technologies to help enhance this but
with a Fitbit you can't turn off the
Bluetooth and it's a bit of an issue
when you're wearing something all day
you're sleeping with it etc and it's not
healthy for your body whereas the aura
ring you can actually turn off the
Bluetooth and it doesn't have those
harmful effects when you're wearing it
all the time and we're sleeping with it
especially so that's a big thing a big
reason why I decided to switch from a
Fitbit to this device here and just one
of the great benefits in terms of
overall health and well-being and I know
that might sound a little bit crazy to
you you know just you know about the the
cellphones and the radiation and and the
electrical pollution and one thought
that we can get from technology and
devices but it is something I've been
testing for myself and researching a
little bit more of and I have noticed
big benefits switching from a Fitbit to
something like the aura ring now that
being said I'm going to show you guys
the app and how it works and show you
guys some of the data of what this or a
ring has provided for me all right so
right now you're looking at the aura app
right now my iPhone and I'm going to
show you some of the data that it tracks
for me and provides on a day-to-day
basis first thing you're going to see at
the top is my overall sleep percentage
which is based on last night's sleep
which is 91% which is pretty good
my overall activity percentage which is
so far for today which is 62% my overall
readiness score which is 80% and that's
a combination of sleep and activity and
it's based on factors from the night
before such as my sleep my recovery
activity etc gives me some notifications
for today one of them you know same
feeling tired you hadn't except
channel resting heart rate last night if
you're feeling tired don't push yourself
too hard today some light activity can
help get you back on track so provides
different notifications like that
insights based on some of the data that
it's collecting for me on a day to day
basis which is really helpful let's move
over to the sleep component so I can see
the data of my sleep over the last few
months for today or from last night I
could see the asleep score I could see
my resting heart rate which was 54 beats
per minute which is the lowest point
that I reached last night which is also
which is just an important factor for
knowing the quality of your sleep
different contributors that equate to
the overall sleep score which is your
total sleep efficiency disturbances REM
sleep which is rapid eye movement sleep
deep sleep which is the most restorative
quality of sleep and the most important
in my opinion sleep latency and sleep
timing so as you can see over everything
was for the most part optimal you know
sleep deep sleep is the one I've been
trying to improve the most and I've been
doing a lot of bio hacks to improve that
and progress a lot and I notice a huge
difference in how my day plays out in
how I feel in the morning based on the
different factors of the quality of my
sleep here but if you go down further
provides more comprehensive data you can
see my resting heart rate throughout the
night you know reached 54 beats per
minute around 1:00 1:30 a.m. you know I
can see my total sleep so I slept about
8 hours 7 hours and 58 minutes I could
see the time I went to bed what time I
woke up app I'm able to see the
different cycles and stages of sleep
that I went in and which hours of the
night so for example you know I first
hit my deep sleep before 12 a.m. and
then I went into more of a light sleep
and then you know kind of going back and
forth between deep sleep and so you can
kind of see when your body goes into the
did the the deep sleep mode and how you
can increase it last night it got an
hour and 13 minutes of deep sleep my ram
sleep was 3 hours 35 minutes I was awake
for 23 minutes 3 hours 10 minutes on
I sleep so really helpful to look at
this data this is the first thing I look
at in the morning because I want to know
how my sleep was and I want to know
based on certain things that I was doing
you know whether or not I can improve my
sleep you know I've noticed a big
difference in my sleep when you know I'm
watching a movie before I go to bed or
you know working before I go to bed or
electronics or a number of things I've
been testing which is really really
helpful to know and especially be able
to track on a day-to-day basis coming
back to you here I can see my activity
day to day basis I can see my activity
contributors you know it takes in
different factors like moving every hour
daily targets you set yourself your
frequency your volume your recovery time
all those things that it kind of
collects for you each day you have a
goal you could set what your goal is
it's going to tell you how many hours
you've been sitting throughout the day
so from me I've been sitting down for 3
hours 15 minutes so far today I've
walked and moved about 1.7 miles 5,000
steps 2100 total burn I can see my
activity on an hour-to-hour basis okay
whether it's low activity medium or high
and then coming back here I can look at
my readiness score so this is based on
your heart rate and a number of
different factors so I can see how my
heart rate fluctuates on a day-to-day
basis
my readiness factor which is 80% today
is based on the previous night previous
balance previous day previous activity
balanced body temperature resting heart
rate a number of different factors which
is really interesting even goes in the
body temperature here too which is
really helpful in tracking that for
yourself so a lot of cool features um
you know a number of which are can be
fairly advanced and they provide a lot
of good information for things you might
not understand so for example coming
back here I can you know press on some
of these and I can see the definitions
they have and more information on all
these different factors and why it's
important and why you might be lacking
in certain areas and feeling the way
that you do
and you can and so therefore you can
actually do something about it you can
actually improve your overall
performance and optimize yourself a lot
further so I've been a big fan of this
