Tony Robbins Date With Destiny Review



hey this is stefan from
projectlifemastery.com i'm going to show
them a few my experience attending date
with destiny with tony robbins i
attended it in december of 2012 in palm
springs and it was by far one of the
most incredible events of my life
probably you know the most incredible
experience of my life in fact just
because it just means so many internal
shifts and changes inside of me that
have still benefitted me long after the
event and if you follow my blog you
probably know that I'm a huge Tony
Robbins fan you know he's influenced my
life my work in so many ways I've been
to all those products and books you know
you changed my life when I was 17 years
old and I haven't looked back since and
my life has just been incredible sis
since I've discovered his work and
started applying it to my life and I've
attended unleash the power within which
is one of his seminars five times now
and so I was just craving and it's been
a goal for a long time to follow the
attendee with destiny and I finally got
that chance and if you read on my blog
or see my other videos actually have a
video review of unleash the power within
and a for for serious blog blog posts
just on that whole expense and the event
and there's a lot of video footage from
that experience so if you're new to tony
robbins or you've never been in one of
the seminars i recommend as a good place
for you to start just because it would
destiny is more advanced love of stuff
but what i wanted to do in this video
blog is just kind of share my experience
share some of the things that i learned
there was just so much stuff it was a
six day event and really intense and
long but i'm going to share some of the
most important things that i've learned
and then i'm going to have a blog post
as well that's just kind of going to
details about some more specific of the
things and then maybe have some blog
posts afterwards we all kind of teach
some of the principles and stuff so that
you guys can actually apply to yourself
as well so first they give you this
workbook here for deep destiny and this
workbook is just jam-packed with so much
valuable information and i keep
referring to it since but the whole
purpose of the event and the entire
experience is really discover
what your ultimate destiny really is now
what you really want from your life and
a lot of people may have goals or they
know what they want but they're they
have so many inner conflicts that
prevents them from actually achieving
those goals or making those things
happen or they achieve those goals but
it's you know like this painful process
to achieve those goals that require so
much like dedication and willpower and
hard work hard work and and it's
integral to pain in the process and they
sacrifice their fulfillment and
happiness along the way and primarily
that's because you know we have a lot of
these values a lot of things inside of
us that are in conflict and you can only
push so much real estate with destiny is
really putting that destiny for yourself
and that being pulled towards it so
rearranging your beliefs your values
your blueprint so that you're pulled
towards what you really want so it
doesn't require that that discipline and
willpower you don't have to you know
give up your happiness and experience
always painful emotions in the process
and it really is a transformation like
that where you're rewiring yourself and
achieving that and the problem is with
when you don't I you know as you are
right now unless you rewire yourself
you're always going to sabotage yourself
in some way you know how many people
they make they're going towards a goal
we made two steps forward and then two
steps back or they achieve something
they sabotage themselves or they're not
really happy or fulfilled
and this event really you know was clear
for me when I actually looked at my life
and analyzed things and spent six days
going over how I was living my life and
then recreating the life that I really
want was a big eye-opener for me and
it's really changed my life since but um
after you met as I mentioned is six days
and it's it's long intensive six days
you're with Tony Robbins the entire time
I think there's about 2,000 people there
from 60 countries it's being translated
in all these different languages and
whatnot um and the really fun thing
about this event is that anybody is
split to different teams and so if you
go there with someone they're not going
to be sitting with them at the event
I think there's about 25 or 30 teens
that are event and the teams have
different senior leaders and just other
leaders that basically coach you and you
meet with them every morning you need
your team before the event and you're
working with them throughout the entire
experience which was really beneficial
because if you have any questions or
you're concerned about things you have
that ecosystem you have that peer group
of people that you can talk to you you
can work with you know you have a
certain buddy at the event which you'll
become close friends with afterwards and
those have this incredible bond and then
also you can ask the coaches or the
leaders any questions that you have and
so there's a thing as I was a little bit
uncertain about at the event and I just
was able to ask and get a lot of
coaching I'm at the same time through
the experience but the hello I'm going
to share with you guys just a poster
that everybody makes at the event which
really kind of summarizes everything
that you learn and on the last day you
make this poster and I modified it since
and I just put up on my wall and I focus
on it every day but you probably will
see this but I've got this big poster
that I've typed out all this different
information and I'll probably have some
pictures for it for you guys on the blog
it summarizes it on the blog as well but
you know basically if you bet you
discover number one what your mission
statement is what your purpose of your
life is you go over your towards values
and rules and your way for values and
rules which is some of and explain it a
little bit just because requires a lot
of a lot of attention um you do
something called your primary question
which is which I found interesting and
I've never learned from Tony Robbins
before which is we all have a certain
question that we ask ourselves
unconsciously every single day and you
know you've been living your whole life
asking this question and this question
is really shaping your life is shaping
what you focus on and what you do
throughout your life and uh you know
it's really fascinating because for me
you know a lot of people they ask these
questions like I'm not you know why why
does this happen to me or how you know
you know what are other people going to
think of me or
I don't know just just some sort of
negative question that's always
preventing them you know why you're not
good enough something that's preventing
them from moving forward in their lives
and or making them feel certain ways
certain feelings and they wonder why is
because of this question that we ask
ourselves and my primary question before
was how can I be even better and that
was a good question to ask but at the
same time it was also negative too
because everyone was good because I was
always focused on becoming better that's
what changed my life you know nine years
ago I was just everyday focus how can it
become better it did it seminars and
books and self-improvement you know this
is always doing things to improve myself
which is a beautiful thing but the
problem with that question is that it
has a presupposition which is that
things are not already good enough or
that I'm not already good enough and I
could feel that on a daily basis and so
I change my new primary question to
being how can I become even better
okay so keyword is even better which is
now presupposes that I am already enough
well I'm going to become even better
while appreciating even more of who I am
and the love that society me right now
so that question alone and I ask that
every day has really shaped my life in a
great way so maybe I can teach that in
another video blog you also come up come
up with little power virtues and you
have for them which are just basically
the mean primary emotional states you
need to experience on a daily basis to
really achieve your goals and mine are I
am confident I'm determined I'm loving
and I'm happy then also the six human
needs and you know if you study Tony
Robbins you probably know what this is
about we have six needs that control our
lives everything we do we do for a
reason and the reason is to meet one of
these needs and the first four needs
that these the personality which are
certainty variety or uncertainty
significance and connection and love now
there's those four needs you're going to
find a way to meet those in one way or
another you know if you are depressed if
you go to the gym if you dress a certain
way if you're in a relationship if you
smoke if you overeat
whatever you know everything you do is
to meet these needs the last two needs
are more than into the spirit which are
growth and contribution now y'all are
gonna meet these knee is least the first
four in some weight but the last two are
the needs that really give me he
fulfilled is growing and contributing
and we all kind of have two primary
needs that we value more than any of the
others and eighty percent of people in
North America their top two needs are
significance and certainty which were
mine and that caused a lot of challenges
in my life and the problem with having
significance as your number one need is
that you know you're trying to achieve
things and they're trying to be
significant but it's never enough
because once you achieve something or
reach a goal you're trying to become
even more significant and then you're
trying to be one of the next thing the
next thing the next thing and you're
never really fully happy and also with
significance you're almost always
comparing yourself to other people and
it's very easy for you to kill
insignificant anytime someone is more
significant than you are and so that's
probably one of the worst need that you
actually have as your top need and if
you want to change it I recommend going
with to date with destiny which really
shifted for me but then I'm gonna
certainty as well and certainty the need
for security is it's something that most
people are trying to move towards and
the problem with that is you're always
stay in that comfort zone you're always
you know you won't take any risks you
won't really grow because you just want
certainty and so for me my top six needs
now and in the order that I rearrange
them our number one love contribution
grows variety significance and certainty
is last one and that was probably the
biggest transformations I made from
deeper destiny because you know before I
needed to feel significant or have
certainty first before I felt love or
before I could grow whereas now it's the
other way around now I feel love and
they contribute anyways and you know
significance is just not as important
I'm still driven I still have my goals
and all that kind of stuff but I'm just
so much more happy and focused on adding
value and just experiencing more love
and giving
love more than I've ever had in my life
so that's a big transformation
another thing you know there's a lot of
spiritual focus on spirituality at this
event as well he describes his four
levels of consciousness and your level
of consciousness as measured by your
level of caring so how much you care and
the first level is egocentric which
basically is that you only focus on
yourself babies for example or ego set
drink because there is focus on their
own needs and I really focus on giving
it anyway
the next level of consciousness is f no
sin death no centric which is focus more
on your community so like your friends
your family you focus on meeting more
than needs and then there's world
centric which is focused not just on
your friends and family bone everybody
you know all the human beings you
actually feel caring for strangers for
homeless people you feel caring for you
know people in Africa just everywhere in
the world and then the highest level of
consciousness is spirit centric which
means are focused on not just people but
you're actually focused on spirits
you're focused on plants and animals and
just all living beings on this planet
and you have a caring and compassion for
that and that that was a really big
focus for me and there's just so much
more that goes he goes into at the event
about spirituality um but that was just
a big eye-opener for me it's just focus
on raising my level of consciousness so
that I care more and I'm just happier
more fulfilled and I'm also can focus on
making more of a difference that I just
have more oneness I have more connection
with everything around me which has
transformed my life since and so just
focusing on caring more about everybody
was a big game changer for me um and
then that's also a focus on
relationships is a whole relationship
day at David destiny which was a big big
transformational experience that I had
as well and you know maybe if I have
time we'll go into that as well but the
biggest thing I want to share with you
guys is you know as I mentioned we have
this ultimate destiny that we create at
the event and who you have to become to
achieve that destiny but we all have
different values
of different emotional states we're
trying to move towards and then also
values or emotional states we're trying
to move away from and your values you
know we all value for example happiness
and passion and love and gratitude and
confidence and security and adventure
and fun all these different emotions
health and energy we all value these but
everybody values them in a different
order everybody has a different
hierarchy of what we value and that
hierarchy of what's most important to
you is going to control every decision
that you make and that's going to shape
your destiny the direction you go
towards whether or not you achieve that
destiny so you know rearranging those
values to make sure they're not in
conflict so that you can be pulled
towards where you want to go is one of
the biggest things you know for example
a lot of people that don't exercise or
they're not healthy or they don't have a
lot of energy simply because that's just
something that's not important to them
it's not something they value and so
what if you could take health and energy
and exercise and all of a sudden make
that the most important thing in your
life and there's a way to do that and
that's one of the things that we did at
the event or for an example um you know
somebody that values security and um
always sub negate that security value
and they make the last one on the list
and they put adventure as their number
one value you know think about how every
decision they make is going to change
just by making that shift you know
they're going to go in a totally
different vacation they're going to be
attracted to the people that are totally
different they're going to do things to
refine that are radically different than
somebody to value security so just
making that little shift in values can
totally shape how you operate and every
decision you're going to make in your
life and what we all have different
values we move towards like eventually
have value to be move away from so
different emotional states like
depression and anxiety and fear fear of
rejection and failure um sadness and
anger and boredom and laziness and
procrastination these are all different
feelings we're trying to avoid and move
away from but again we value them in a
different way different
hierarchy and what the interesting thing
is you know one is is a lot of our
values are in conflict for example you
know will value success someone's you
know that's the most important thing for
them in life but they're trying to move
away from rejection or failure and that
doesn't really work because in order for
you to achieve success you have to risk
taking some sort of you know failure or
you know risk rejection along the way
and so you'll always sabotage yourself
and you'll never really make progress
because your values are in conflict and
if you can rearrange those values which
is one of the things you do at this
event um it was a big big game changer
it's going to change every decision that
you make in your life thereafter and
you're going to be pulled towards that
destiny it's not going to be willpower
or hard or effort you're just going to
wake up and there's naturally going to
move towards it without even having it
really try just because you're just
aligned in that way to move towards that
now the interesting thing for me was the
most important value that I had was
success and significance and me just
trying to be successful and significant
you know and I try to achieve that
through being successful in business
making a lot of money being fit
attracting a certain person in my life
all this was my need my value of just
being successful and the problem with
that is when you value success or
something like that above being happy or
love or passion then you don't actually
experience happiness or love or passion
unless you're unless you first feel
success successful in some way and
doesn't be problem for me because I
didn't really feel the levels of
happiness and love and all that stuff as
much as I wanted to you and so Express a
once in a while but it wasn't really me
it was I had I had this like this value
that I had to meet first in order for me
to actually experience those things as
for me now I totally switched that
around now happiness love passion all
those emotions that I really want to get
by being successful I now get to
experience every day whether or not I'm
successful or not whether I achieve
anything or not and then it's it's more
you know secondary
and I went from achieving to be happy to
now happily achieving which was a big
game-changer for me but I'll going to
read to you guys my values in the order
in right now
number one is health and energy I
realize that's the most important thing
without it I'm not you know without my
health my body I can't love I can't give
I can't experience what I really want to
experience in this life and so I
realized that has to be the most
important thing and it has to be more
important than fitness and I think for
me before I had Fitness more important
than health and the problem with that is
I'd be fit but I wouldn't be healthy I
would be tired all the time and is lack
energy so I really had to make sure that
health is the most important thing for
me so health and energy I've loved how
be grateful passion confidence and
presence physically fit success and
achievement fun and adventure learn and
grow be my best investing and
contributing so those are 12 new values
okay and I'm going to read to you buy
away values so the first one is
consistent debilitating depression
consistent debilitating laziness and
procrastination consistent debilitating
unworthiness consistent inappropriate
tired and exhaustion a consistent
debilitating doubt consistent
inappropriate overwhelm consistent
inappropriate frustration consistent
inappropriate debilitating anger and
annoyed consistent and an inappropriate
boredom consistent debilitating
inappropriate shyness consistent
debilitating illusion of failure and
consistent inappropriate illusion of
rejection now the reason why it says
consistent debilitating levels of
depression is because sometimes is a
good thing to fuel depression sometimes
it's a good thing to feel anger and some
views negative emotions because without
experienced them you would really change
without experiencing depression once in
a while you wouldn't hit threshold and
get disturbed about your life to really
have that pain to make that
transformation so sometimes going
through depression all these different
emotions is a good thing because it's a
good saying is that when you people
succeed they party
when they fail they ponder and it's when
you ponder that you really make a change
in your life whereas when you party
you're not really going to make a change
so going through that our time is
actually a good thing but you don't want
to consistently experience it that's why
I have consistent and you don't express
debilitating levels of it or
inappropriate levels of it and so that's
where I clarify that for each of those
away from values okay now what
determines whether or not we experience
any of these emotions any of the things
that I value or you value or the beliefs
that we have about what has to happen
for us to experience them
so these are basically the rules that we
have which are a type of belief of what
has to happen for us to feel happy or
successful or love or energy or
depressed or sad or frustrated or angry
or to fail and we'll have different
beliefs and what you want to do in the
event and what we do is that we change
the belief so that it becomes as easy as
possible for you to feel all of your
towards values and the emotions that you
want and then you make it as difficult
as possible for you to feel the away
from values like depression and whatnot
okay so for example you know if your
number one values success and the belief
the rules that you have for you to feel
successful or you need to make a certain
amount of money you need to be a certain
percent fat you have to have total
control over your life everything has to
go your way everything has to go perfect
everything has to be fair you know you
know you can never get angry with anyone
if that are your rules that you're never
going to feel happy are you're never
going to feel successful because you
have so many rules that are almost
impossible for you to meet whereas for
me I changed my rules for success to
being I experienced success and
achievement anytime I share my true
gifts with the world any time I focus on
the value my life has already created
any time I send out come and make it
happen or do something greater or any
time I learn anything or create
something of value so I created a new
menu and I made it very easy for me to
actually explain success and achievement
and I have control over them they're not
dependent on whether or not someone else
does something or something has to
happen so now I feel successful a lot
more often than I did before because I
changed my rules and beliefs about that
you know another example let's say is uh
is how being grateful you know for me
before to feel happy I had to achieve I
had to be successful I had to have a
relationship I had to you know I just
had all these rules of what had to
happen when I stabbed for me I
experienced happiness and gratitude and
anytime I remember and appreciate all
the good that already exists in my life
or I feel thankful for God or anyone
else or I wake up another day alive you
know so now it's just so much easier for
me to actually experience that just
because I changed the rules I'm not
going to go to all of them but I'm going
to sure if you guys um you know for
depression and maybe a few of the away
values so for depression I have I
experienced consistent debilitating
feelings of depression only if I were to
consistently lie to myself and believe
that I have no control over anything
instead of remembering how fortunate I
really am and that I am in control of my
life and how I feel and so that was big
you know I made it very difficult for me
to actually fuel depression and I
phrased it in a way that I only express
it by with a lie to myself and actually
believe that I don't have any control
which is just a lie it's not really real
solution that I created my head um and I
have a kind of an out of it as well way
to get out which is instead of
remembering how fortunate I really am
and that I'm in control my life and how
I feel um let's see what's another one
uh consistent inappropriate overwhelm my
experience consistent inappropriate
fewness overwhelm only if I were to
consistently believe in the illusion
that things are bigger than they really
are instead of instead of focusing on my
most important outcome let's do
frustration I experience consistent
inappropriate feelings of frustration
only if I would consistently believe the
fall solution that I can't do anything
to resolve or improve the situation
instead remembering that I resource or
committed
and determined that if it's meant to be
I can make anything happen let me look
at failure I experience consistent
debilitating feelings of failure only if
I were to consistently focus on the
false belief that I can fail instead of
realizing that I have succeeded anytime
that I learned something and or give it
a hundred percent i expense consistent
inappropriate emails of rejection only
if I were to consistently believe in the
illusion that someone can reject me
instead of realize that I'm the only
person that determines how I feel and so
I have you know a whole list a whole
menu of just relating those those values
and the beliefs the rules that I have
for each of them and this was not easy
it took hours and hours and hours at
this event it's like a puzzle here your
whole brain is like mush by the end of
it because you're really then what
analyzing everything of how you've been
living right before and then you're
creating and also going over every
single one of these values or you're
figuring out you know what's the
consequence of having this one number
one or number two or number three and
you're really you know there's a
specific order for this you're not just
creating it on a whim you know you're
not just winging it you're spending
hours and hours and hours that is
creating this - getting it to the point
where it is now and then the most
powerful piece was on the last day we
did a whole integration process which
really just integrated everything you
learn at the event so that's part of you
you know you wouldn't have to work at it
it'd just be part of who you are and I
you know you wouldn't it just it's just
internal you know it's like these values
are now part of me and the way that I
live and I have it now put it on my wall
so I can focus on it CW daily remind
myself and it's just really changed my
life on so many levels
so that was probably one of the other
biggest things at the events and really
there's so much more there's just and I
just this video would be I would go on
for hours and hours and hours if I were
to actually talk about all six of the
days and everything I learned by
it was fun it was entertaining I
connected with somebody amazing people
you know it's just incredible so if you
have a chance to attend date with
destiny I highly recommend it if you've
never been in a Tony Robbins seminar
start with a leash the power within I
you know anything by 20 Robbins I
