hey Stefan I'm 47 and I'm just starting
to get get it together I want to start a
business online I mean the personal
development I have a college degree that
I'm not using and I'm also in debt and
lonely what advice would you give an
older person like myself I don't have
and 30s I feel like I'm behind the
8-ball
any advice would be great all right Ben
thank you for sharing this first the
fact that you said that you don't feel
like you don't have much time Ben I love
you
that's a limiting belief that's a story
you've got plenty of time Ben come on
Ben you know the health principles and
your a commitment is self-growth you're
gonna be a rotten route until you know
over a hundred years old if you choose
to you've got plenty of time it's not
too late there's been plenty of examples
of people that have started and there's
40s and 50s and even 60s that have been
able to become extremely successful
whether that's at Colonel Sanders or you
know whether that is many different
entrepreneurs out there that have just
started that at a later stage of their
life there's many examples out there and
what I'd recommend you do Ben is you've
got to find those role models you've got
to find those references people that
were around your age group that been
able to have been able to succeed
because when you see that it's gonna
change your belief it's gonna change
your story
you know I'm even reminded about this
woman named sister Madonna who was a
Catholic nun and she had never exercised
never run or did any athletic you know
venture in her life and I forget exactly
at what age I think it was in her 50s or
60s here she went and decided that she
was gonna become a runner never run
before in her life and she signed up to
do marathons and then eventually she
ended up doing triathlons and competing
in the Ironman and here's a woman in her
60s that had done so that had never done
so before and she just decided to you
there's plenty of other examples out
there of people that are extreme
athletes that are 60 70 80 years old
that you know have changed their body
and changed their business change their
life so that's what I recommend for you
band is fine role models fine examples I
can't think of too many right now off
the top of my head it might be rare but
there are people out there that exist
there are plenty examples and all you
got to do you got to go there and find
them use the internet research find
books find resources go to events and
seminars find them just like if you want
a great relationship a lot of people
don't believe they can have a great
relationship because their role model of
a great relationship never existed
because often for a lot of people
growing up their role model relationship
is their parents and if your parents had
a poor relationship and then your your
rest of your family all had poor
relationships then sure enough you
believe that you can't have a great
relationship and that's as great as a
relationship can be and even though it
might be rare it might be rare to find
people there totally love and impassion
for one another and been together for 30
40 50 years it does exist you've got to
find it and when you find those role
models you've got to learn from them you
got to be around them you've got to
model them you got to use that as your
your aim or a goal of a role model of
what you want to be able to have and
create ok so just like you know in
relationships people say there's not
that many role models and great ones
there are you've got to find them it
might be rare there might be the
minority but they still do exist and the
same goes for people that are 40 50 60
years old that are just starting and
been able to do well and also been I
don't you know argue and say that you
have an advantage you know 47 years old
you have more experience more knowledge
more maturity then a lot of people have
when they're first getting started that
might be a lot younger than you you got
to look at the wisdom that you already
have the life experience and ultimately
you want to create a online business and
you love self-development well that's a
great Avenue where you can create your
business in because if you started
sharing online content helping other
people with self-development
at your age I can guarantee you there's
a big market of men and women out there
that are also in similar circumstances
that you can now become a role model for
you can become that role model for
others that felt that way as well and
then you're gonna change your life
you're gonna be more successful and then
you're gonna be that person to be able
to show other people and be a role model
to them and say hey you know what I
thought that I was
too late I thought that I was behind the
eight-ball but I shifted my beliefs I
practice the self development that I've
learned and then there's gonna be a lot
of people because trust me there's a lot
of people that come to me that in their
40s 50s and 60s that I work with that
want to get started online or want to
change their life but have the same
story you can be that role model for
them you could be that example the
person that defied the odds and set a
new standard and decided to lead so Ben
I encourage you to take on that
challenge find the role models if not
you don't necessarily even need that you
just got to believe and if you believe
and shift your beliefs you're gonna be
able to turn that to reality make that
happen and I think you'll have a big
market if you want to get into the self
development niche online of people in a
similar situation because they're gonna
relate to you they're gonna relate to
your story or your pain and struggle
becomes your biggest advantage in your
business because if you can say hey you
know what I was 47 I was in debt I was
alone I have a struggling I had done
these things but I was able to overcome
that and I changed that that is now an
inspiration others my pain my struggles
in my life have now become my greatest
assets and gifts because it allows me to
relate and connect to people at a much
deeper level I can help people more than
ever could if my life was just perfect
so it's actually an advantage for you
Ben and I'd recommend you start looking
at it that way as opposed to a detriment
