Testing 5 New
AirPods Accessories! #Helpful Post
what's
up guys hope you're having a
great
day today let's look at something
different
air pauses are great but how
can
we make them even better in this
video
I wanted to show you five airpot
accessories
that are actually pretty
cool
and could help you get the most out
of
your air pods so the first one I'm
going
to be taking a look at not so much
useful
but I saw this on unbox therapy
Channel
I had to check it out this is
the
fidgets spinner case for air pods
and
I gotta be the judge of this is it
really
as good as they say it is so
literally
just a case that you slip on
top
of your ear pods that has 2017
written
all over it with the whole
fidgets
their thing whoa that works so
well
okay
so
perfectly functional pair of ear pods
here
I'm going to slip them right into
this
case which fits quite snugly I must
say
so what is this like a pleather not
a
real leather or anything but doesn't
really
seem to restrict your air pods in
any
way let's try out the spinning hair
so
it is a little uneven they're not
perfectly
centered but wow that is
certainly
a way to get you to use your
ear
pods more often just having a fitted
spinner
accessory on it and this thing
is
pretty expensive
like
I would never recommend you spend
this
much money on it they're probably
gonna
be knockoffs within a few days if
not
already but yeah a passive purpose
for
your air puss you read that your air
pods
now have a purpose instead of
delivering
music now that I bring joy to
your
hands
spinning
them okay so that's certainly
one
one down let's keep going here I I
don't
know this is pretty cool I would
say
definitely is like a fun toy but
it's
not worth the money how much you're
gonna
spend on this if there's ever a
cheaper
version maybe it protects your
hair
paws are balls too I guess
so
that's kind of cool on the table does
work
yeah
it's a little uneven it's a little
janky
I thought it'd be a little bit
smoother
alright so next up is this and
now
you may be wondering what this is
this
is an entirely new case for your
air
pump and we're gonna be testing out
the
first wireless charging case for the
air
pods that truly replaces it it's not
something
you slip your case into it's
actually
a new case for your air pods
and
it's got me intrigued like how does
this
work it's pretty expensive too so
you're
paying pretty much like thirty
forty
dollars to replace your case in
case
you lose it so the only downside I
can
see to something like this is if you
do
lose your air pod case and you go
with
something like this it won't pair
the
air pods it's just for charging so
it
doesn't have any of the built-in
pairing
functionality okay so it looks
like
an air pod case feels like one it
has
this wireless thing on the back
which
is kind of cool no LED like apples
so
that's missing there is one inside
though
that's cool like to the lengths
that
some manufacturers will go to mimic
Apple's
products here we've got the
pitaka
wireless charging pad they just
sent
this to me one of their new
prototypes
we're gonna be testing that
out
in this video alongside this sort of
like
an air power device where you can
say
your phone down pretty much on this
side
of the case and I charge it but
okay
let's pop out the ear pods from the
existing
case and pop them into the new
ones
say you forgot them so this
wouldn't
work let's say if you're
pairing
it with a new iPhone if you just
have
these and don't have the original
case
be worn this will not work but if
you
already have that case you just want
to
switch to wireless charging this
could
work for you I guess okay so
they're
in there I'm guessing there's no
charge
because it's not working but I
were
to put it on here would it work am
I
even supposed to tell it was let me
charge
it up for a few seconds the LED
is
there it's glowing a red blinking red
ok
so just got everything set up sorry
about
the audio having some issues but
anyways
so this thing changes
fundamentally
how your air pods will
work
with your iPhone so I'm not sure
that
this is such a good idea even
because
when you open them they don't
pop
up on your iphone anymore now you
have
to
into
the settings to connect them every
single
time and I feel like that could
get
a little bit annoying so which air
paws
are there's like a million in my
list
anyway so it does change that but
hey
it does work so the wireless
charging
feature it does work I was able
to
test it out it was actually really
dumb
of them not to put an LED out here
because
who knows if it's actually
charging
now I'm not able to actually
tell
yeah so the iPhone doesn't want to
register
that they are charging right
now
even it's a bit strange when they're
connected
this does some strange things
to
the airport so I'm a little confused
honestly
is this even working or or what
yeah
it's like battling the software you
do
not want to switch cases so it is a
dope
idea but let's just say this is
Apple's
real wireless charging case when
that
comes out replace it with this
imitation
it does charge the air pods
and
it does work to an extent but the
software's
where things start getting a
key
and the craftsmanship is not so bad
honestly
it could be worse it has sort
of
the click enos of the air pods case
but
you know definitely shell out the
extra
money and get apples if you really
must
does work but could be way better
I'd
like to move on to this so this is
probably
one of the most popular cases
right
now for the air pods the catalyst
waterproof
ear pods case and of course
we
are gonna be testing these claims so
it
says three point three feet
underwater
it is water proof and I even
water
is this not waterproof
four
foot shocks it can absorb those and
it's
got complete protection around it
so
feels pretty premium it's a nice
silicon
let's slip this right onto the
air
pods and it does go right in so I
can
definitely see why the waterproof
part
would work there's no way the water
is
gonna get in there but we set up the
station
anyways we're gonna test out
these
claims down here you have a quick
charging
port so my question is how do
the
air products curl well you have to
fold
this down every time yeah okay it
works
I guess let's go do some damage
with
this and before we do that actually
wanted
to combine it with tiles so these
are
a must people around me are actually
losing
air pause left and right Daniel
you
know who you are
you
need one of these without a doubt so
with
a case like this now you can attach
attachments
like the tile pro a little
attachment
here and they did not give me
a
clip so oh they did okay there it is
so
with this literally just throw that
on
throw this right onto here and you've
got
air pods that will never get lost if
you
don't like the case you can always
like
glue this to the back or something
ridiculous
double sided tape or
something
but we're gonna test out the
waterproof
claim of both of these
because
the new tile pros are apparently
waterproof
to one foot I think or one
and
a half feet so with our rig here we
definitely
have over a meter where these
are
rated and we're just gonna throw it
in
here I think this is around four and
a
half feet and we'll see where we're at
in
what little while so yeah there's no
way
water is gonna get in there like
it's
practically completely sealed off
the
only place I'd be worried about is
the
port towards the bottom there's some
bubbles
collecting there and we've got
the
tile here so we'll see if it's still
working
after but I think we should be
fine
water resistant ear pods would
definitely
be nice and that's the air
pods
to or beyond where that feature is
rumored
to happen but I've personally
never
had issues like my air pods have
been
in the laundry several times I've
been
swimming with them I think even
once
you know sweats so this these are
always
around water or liquid in general
and
no issues even if this case fails
like
I think that the air pods will hold
on
their own and we'll see so let's give
it
this a little bit of time and I'll be
back
alright so it's been a considerable
amount
of time we have made a
contraption
to pull it out but I will
give
you my resume at the door and here
it
is okay so from what I saw under
water
there was no water bubble release
or
anything like that it was holding
steadfast
gotta say I'm pretty impressed
it
didn't look like any water got in Oh
on
second look though there is water
inside
it's actually soaked inside there
is
definitely water in there
let's
open it up and see if there's any
inside
of here though there is what so
it's
still working
but
yeah this thing did not do well okay
granted
we did push it past its limits
the
limit is three point three feets and
we
did almost five here but wow I'm a
little
disappointed there's a water
inside
there's water in the terminals oh
my
goodness that is not good but trust
the
old air pods gonna survive these are
actually
the same ones from my water
test
two years ago and they're still
running
strong that is pretty cool but
we
pushed it past its limit I think so
I'll
give this one a tentative pass I
think
it would have worked had we stayed
under
3.3 feet all right so the tile
survived
1.5 feets rated just for where
we
tested it case not so much and the
next
one is gonna be on my computer so
this
isn't so much a physical product as
it
is a digital one and if you have a
Mac
this is a must-have if you have air
pods
and you want to use them with your
Mac
Apple doesn't provide the same level
of
integration as this application and I
think
my ear pod case just crapped out
the
water got to it no that sucks
so
this is how that works check that out
basically
the same level of integration
as
you would get on the iPhone the same
digital
interface just comes down and
you
can connect to this every single
time
you want to connect to your Mac
it's
actually very very neat the menu
comes
down leaves right away after
opening
the integration seems to work
pretty
dang good here and you're able to
connect
and right away start using our
air
pods so I could see Apple adding
something
like this natively to the next
version
of Mac OS I really don't see why
they
don't have it already just for the
eye
candy alone it's really really cool
so
there's that and the last thing the
point
five you saw in the title is 0.5
because
most of you will not be able to
do
it and I was 12 if you guys managed
to
stay on that firmware twelve point
one
point two are lower you'll soon be
able
to jailbreak
so
silica is a tweak for jailbroken
iPhones
where you can customize air pod
commands
to various controls here so
with
a double tap you can do more things
such
as skipping forward in a song 15
seconds
rewinding it's increasing the
volume
decreasing it and the developer
said
that in the future he'll be adding
support
to individual sides where you
can
switch them out
the
controls here very cool all around
but
not a feature most of you guys will
be
able to get access to unless you're
on
that specific firmware again ok guys
thanks
for watching hopefully you can
make
the best out of your ear pods
spinning
it away all day in this case or
whatever
else you decide to use but
thanks
for watching guys peace
